Ok , a little info first. I have 1 PVR150 that uses regular cable to record basic cable channels up to ch 59 , the a/v jacks are hooked to my cable box for digital and premium channels. Everything works fine running 99.5. Thursday , my cable company is realigning a bunch of stations including Speed which presently is on ch59 on basic cable and they are moving it to a digital channel 81. Thursday happens to be the day of the Daytona qualifying races and they are on Speed (I work for Ford so no I can't call in sick ,that would be very suspicious Smile ) I am sure zap2it will not be updated for a little while so my question is how do I make sure I get these races recorded? Presently there is no ch 81 to do a manual recording. Speed is also on ch 409 but when I enabled that channel in my config , the listing for ch 59 disappeared and I lost several recurring recording today on that channel. DO I have to hope for the best and hope Zap2it catch up quickly with the new channels or am I missing an obvious answer?

Cheers - Yes my wife thinks I am nuts for worrying so much about some silly car raceWink

Is channel 59 currently one of the channels listed in your digital lineup pulled in from zap2it? If so, then its probably just a matter of going in on the day and editing the channel number next to speed to replace 59 with 81.

You can always try to do some recording tests that morning if you're concerned it'll miss it. If you have problems, post here and I'll help you fix it.

Channel 59 was enabled in the basic cable part of the config and it's duplicate 409 was disabled in the digital part of the config. I thought it was a simple as enabling them both , but that seems to have removed ch 59 from the guide thus I lost some scheduled recordings. I never thought about enabling 59 in the DIGITAL part of my config and just changing the channel number so it can change use the channel changer and control my cable box. I'll give that a try.
thanks

If you have two channels with exactly the same name in a lineup, then it'll only include the highest one.

Ahh thats what it is then , Zap2it actually lists the channels as 59/409 SPEEDCAN , so by enabling the 409 it blanked out the 59. Thats goos to know , I'll just edit the channel name to channel 81 on Thursday and all should be good. Thanks again.

Sad

Well, seemed to have solved the channel number problem but a for no reason something else happened during this recording and all other since.....
Set to record races yesterday from 2pm -5pm , when I got home it said the recording was ready , I started to watch it and noticed that there was only 11 min 25 secs recorded?? I deleted the recording and re-recorded the re-broadcast last night. After 3 hours , the recording was ready but only showed
1 hour 33 minutes , but as far as I can tell, all 3 hours are there (didn't watch it all but the end was at the end) but the time seems off. Is this the timestamp issue I have heard of? and why did it just start now??

It sounds like it is the timestamp issue. Not sure why it would creep up now, but I used to get it in one machine at odd times and in a different machine I never got it.
You could try the registry tweaks to see if that fixes your problem.

I never have had a problem before? The fact that I only got 11 mins of a 3 hour recording is slightly different than the usual timestamp issue where you get the wrong length of recording but all the recording is there.

I am scared to death to try different drivers . The original drivers always had audio problems and no avail drivers worked. I am using drivers and a reg tweaked emailed by Huappage support that have worked perfectly for over a year.

I'm not aware of any problems (or even reports) of analog cards stopping recording mid way through a recording, and given you're using a PVR150, then I'm inclined to think it was the timestamp error also.
