I just noticed that my EPG on 30 Sep is screwed up. I'm on 99.12.

If you look at the attached screen shot, CSI appears twice which is incorrect.

I suspect this is related to Daylight Savings now being a week earlier. I already have the correct Microsoft update for DST installed http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=933360.

Does anyone know how I can clean up the EPG and fix up my pending recordings?

There's an empty EPG button in the config app. On the sources tab I think.

I just use the command-line 'gbpvr -onlyemptyepg' then start GB-PVR and go to the System plugin and use the Update EPG button.

I can't remember why I stopped using the -onlyupdateepg command-line switch - I think in a previous version it didn't properly clean things up. The System Update EPG always works for me after emptying with the command-line.

Cheers,
Brian

Tried both command line and from config app. EPG for some channels ok but others are an hour off. Done this multiple times with the same results. Could be something in the EPG data?

Any other suggestions appreciated.

I can only guess TVNZ etc werent adjusting their DVB EPG listings for daylight savings. I'm also guessing its fixed itself by now, but you might need to do a 'empty epg' followed by an 'update epg'.

Emptying and updating EPG fixes most but not all the problems.

Found that pending recordings were still using the wrong times and seems to screw up the EPG with overlapping programmes items. Had to cancel those recordings first to fix it properly.

Is this going to happen again next year in Apr at the end of Daylight Savings?

There is a known issue were one-off scheduled recordings (or first recording in a season recording) cant have their time updated in the database if the show times changes since it has no way to know where that new show has moved to. There is a long drawn out reason for this that I wont go in to.

Probably. It'll be entirely up to TVNZ/Canwest/Kordia.
