not sure if someone has mentioned this before - had to get dvd's working for the first time in gbpvr so we can watch something tomorrow and found that pressing the menu button (while watching a dvd movie) on my remote seems to work but doesnt - below are the details

after pressing the menu button for the first time the movie changes to the size you would expect for the menu to appear but the menu never shows
pressing the menu button for the second time makes the menu show to the right of the screen but the video has disappear and sounds gone
pressing the menu button for the third time results in a black screen
then on subsequent presses the above 2 happen over and over...

attached are my logs from doing just the above.

thanks

i've noticed the dvd menu isn't that good - can't see what you choosing as doesn't highlight the option - also if press info button it moves to the left of screen, but doesn't display any info - if press info again or even back gbpvr goes back to main screen and dvd stops playing

I've also noticed these problems with the DVD playback.

I posted elsewhere about the menu highlight problem and have found that it is decoder dependant. E.g. The native Vista and Cyberlink 7 decoders show the problem (but not outside of GB-PVR) but the Dscaler one works fine.

I find the "esc" button usually takes you back to the DVD main menu and stops the DVD rather than going to the DVD menu. Also the "home" button does not work but rather exits back to the main menu but leaves the DVD playing so the menu is hidden.

Try setting <DVDAllowVideoInset>false</DVDAllowVideoInset> in config.xml, then the home/menu button during DVD playback should take you back to the menu.
