The logs indicate the scan went find but the device never managed to lock onto a signal.
Are you sure you've got the antenna connected? Have you checked you can receive 'over the air' ATSC channels in some other software on you machine?

when I use your 'tunner assistant' I can see stations, also when I use the Avermedia Center product I get stations.
the card I use with the tunner assistant is the aver m780 analog - this does not show up on the list for the card in the config - is the 'aver m780' (no qam no nothing) the same card in the conf as the card in the tunner assistant?

The tuning assistant is only for analog channels, so doesnt give any indication whether your receiving any OTA ATSC signals.

the only connection I have is plan cable, not digital cable or ota digital

That would explain why your OTA ATSC scan didnt find any channels then.

So how do I get to see my cable stations with the GBpvr?

If you want the QAM channels then you need to set your capture source to "AVerMedia M780 (QAM)". If you do not find any channels on the scan it may be because the wrong frequencies are being scanned. I posted modified qam.ini files at http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post252763
Try the us-cable.ini

Or if you're just after the analog cable channels, then setup a capture source using the 'Direct Recording Plugin' and select the correct card type, then import an EPG with the cable channels you receive.
