I'm going to post this again elsewhere but I thought I'd add to this thread aswell. Since a rebuild a while back using Intervideo Codec's I hadn't had to use the old Quartz.dll - Recently I've started testing NZ's Freeview HD and my problems came back (probably due to the Cyberlink Codec from PDVD8 for HD playback) so I again replaced the Quartz.dll with the version 6.5.1.902 and it looks to have fixed my problem.
Same as before the problem was - I could start a recording playing and it would play fine, once I skipped forward or back it would often start playing jerky (Like it was dropping every second frame) - by skipping back and forth a few times it would usually come right again. It definately only occurred on HD recordings and i *THINK* it was only occuring on TV3/C4 recordings - I didn't test this exhaustively but I don't remember it doing it when my wife was watching upscaled Shortland St but it drove me crazy watching CSI, Bones and C4's Top 100 Music moments.
