I have 2 HVR-1600s receiving OTA ATSC channels. Both tuners are seen by GBPVR, and I can set them up to record 2 shows in the same time slot without a conflict. However, when recording is complete, only one show has actually been recorded. GBPVR creates a folder for both shows, but the files in the folder for the 2nd show (TV show file plus comskip files) are too small to be a TV show - always 6KB). This happens whenever there is an overlap in recording - whether the 2 recordings start at the same time or at different times. GBPVR announces that recording has begun on each of the tuners at the appropriate time, but only one recording is successful. Has anyone else had this happen and is there something I can do to fix it? Thanks!

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs, and a description of what you tried and what the outcome was, then I'll take a look for you.

Sorry - I forgot to post what I've tried so far: Uninstalling a plugin (SlimGBPVR), recording in the same time slot, recording in an overlapping time slot with different start times and rebooting the PVR PC. Same outcome every time. I've read through lots of posts, but haven't seen this problem addressed.

I had the exact same problem with a Divco Fusion HDTV 7 dual express card.

I thought it was a problem with my card and I returned it, but I had the same issue. Both tuners are seen by GBPVR, recordings at the same time (over lap), one has a file and can be replayed the other is a small file and is a black screan.

I sent my card back and gave up.

In your logs it looks like everything was fine from a GB-PVR perspective, but the one device failed to lock onto a signal. I'd say it's either a driver problem, or possibly signal strength problems relating to the splitter you're using?

I've had a couple of successful "dual recordings" (same or overlapping time slots) since I first posted. I'm leaving the SlimGBPVR plugin uninstalled - I seem to have a better success rate without it than with it. I'm not sure that's the cause, but if anyone else is having a similar problem, it's worth a try.

Thanks for reviewing my logs.
