Have found with live tv on the above setup that after 20 minutes or so, the video will restart to the beginning.

Doesn't seem to happen on recordings.

Anyone else experienced this? What logs would be useful to look at?

If you can post the mvp-pvrx2.exe-native.log then I'll take a look.

Congratulations on the 3k. You should note if you get the Popcorn Hour logo and buffering message. You might also need to run PCHServe to really debug this properly.

No I don't recall seeing that, it just jumps back to the start. But I'll confirm tonight.

I've had this in the past, although I'm pretty sure it never went as long as 20 mins and sometimes only about 5. You don't get the buffering screen, it just goes straight back to the start and once it has done it once it keeps cycling back at the same point.
However, I haven't seen it for a ages and I have changed from the Cyberlink to the ATI mux - maybe you could try that too.

Well after lots of other dramas last night, I finally got to the point of being able to try out chase playing a recording, and it was perfect. So I'll try and make a better effort to run live tv and see what it does.

Thanks fo rthe advice on the muxes, yes i've got the ati one on the system as well, so can easily switch between them.

Regarding the mux thingie. I have problems with time skip on recorded programs on the PCH. It seems to skip to the wrong point in time. Sometimes I go back when I actually want to skip forward. It only happens on the PCH, never on GB-PVR natively on the PC. I suspect the Cyberlink 1307 mux that I use. Do you guys have any recommendations to what mux version work better. Needs to work on PC and PCH...

In my experience this is fairly common. The PCH has to guess where in the stream a particular time code is when you seek, but it often gets it wrong.
