This happens with the Video Library or Moviewiz. I have a DVD with menu, ripped, so it's not in ISO or whatnot, it's using Video_TS. I can see it and when I play it, it goes to the main menu. From there everything just locks up. ctrl-alt-del shows it as "Not Responding".

It does this each time. The cursor doesn't move, doesn't respond to any key commands or anything. Most of my backups are movie only, but for tv-series, I'd like to keep the menu because it just seems to make more sense for me.

Any ideas?

Id try configuring a different combination of audio/video decoders for DVD playback in the config app. And maybe try a different navigator.

Thanks, I only have one option for the Navigator and Video decoder. The navigator says "DVD Navigator" and video decoder is Cyberlink. I've switched audio decoder to ffdshow. Still, same problem. I'll try a few different series and see what happens.

You may need to download/install some other decoders to try then. Maybe try the 'MPV Decoder'.

Thanks, but that didn't seem to help. Is there any other option than "DVD Navigator"? Maybe it's a problem with the navigation.

I tried it on VLC and WMP and it works fine.

The only combination which works flawlessly for me including access to menus on dvd is Navigator: DVD Navigator and Video Decoder: MPV Decoder Filter. It works for iso and video_ts files.
Not long ago gunder reported similar problems, I am assuming he's satisfied now: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=36727

Maybe you'll learn something form there. Good luck. I hope it works for you as well as it works for me.

Thanks rob! I looked at that already and tried that exact setup and I encounter the exact same problem as before. I don't even get the menu, like I said gbpvr becomes "non-responsive" and I have to force-quit it.

I got it to work, I installed PowerDVD 7. I then changed the navigator and video decoder to PDVD7 rather than PDVD8 which seemed to be packaged with my GBPVR install (or at least on my computer somehow or something Wink ) I left ffdshow for audio decoder. Everything seemed to work from that point.

I just have one quick question, I tried looking on the wiki and searching on here...

What does the "Show DVD button" option do?
