Stop playback, command like parameter?

Hi, is there a way to stop playback of GBPVR PVRX2 from an external macro program?

I'd like to stop video / net radio / etc playback from eventghost when the home theater switches from GBPVR to different inputs, because as it is now, if someone switches, the computer is still playing stuff in the background possibly indefinitely, which can also cause issues for the multi-user multi-display computer in question.

I don't know anything about eventghost but can it not send a stop to gbpvr. I use ir server and you can send key strokes to pvrx2 to stop it. I personally use a harmony remote and have it set to send Ctrl S and then esc through irserver to put it back to the main menu when switching between devices. I would think if you could run a macro or something there has to be a way to send the key strokes to pvrx2.
