I'm struggeling to get a Hauppauge HVR930C stick working with gbpvr, I'v installed the latest driver (I think, from 17.11-2008) and gbpvr can see the dvb-c part of it. However no channels are found during "map digital channels", but WinTv sees a lot of channels. Now, the tuning data is stored in an access-database by wintv, and I'm pretty sure all the information is there, so I exported the tables that seems to contain the relevant data, see attached.

Can someone please take a look at it and help me figure out how to manually enter the tuning request from what's in these tables?

Edit: Excuse the typing error in title Smile

Maybe try copying the attached file into C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA\DVB-C, then select the "All Countries / All Frequencies (6.950MBd SR)" option.

No luck with that. It seems that the frequencies doesn't match, from what I can see in the attached spreadsheets (have you had a look at them?) Can you explain the syntax of the .ini-files under BDA\DVB-C? Maybe I can figure it out if I understand what's what..

Try tweaking the frequencies and symbol rate in the .ini files. In this example 690000 is the frequency, and 6950 is the symbol rate.

I'll give that a try, what does the "8" at the end say?

Bandwidth. All UHF frequencies should have the bandwidth set to 8.

It all boils down to a driver issue, with the original driver WinTv can find the channels but gbpvr can't see the dvb-c part. With the new driver gbpvr see the dbv-c part of the device but nighter gbpvr nor WinTv can find any of the cable channels. DVB-T seems to work thou.

I gave it up and will try a TerraTec Cinergy C PCI, with HD-Support dvb-c.

I will not recommend the Hauppauge WinTV HVR-930C.

JavaWiz posted a utility a month or so ago to extract a WinTV channel scan and write it into a QAM.ini file for GB-PVR. Perhaps it would help?

Thats odd. I had no problems getting my DVB-C channels with my HVR930C with GBPVR.

Thanx guys, I'm about to return the stick, but I'll give it one last try using this tool and see.
