Hello

I have a Nebula DigiTV digital terrestrial PCI card. I have installed GB-PVR and under settings I have it seeing the card, but it is not in the list for the tuning assistant .exe which I am assuming is what I use to tune the programme to the MUX’s. Am I barking at the wrong tree?

I expect when I have a quiet day tomorrow I will red the FAQ again and find something!

The TuningAssistant is for analog cards, and even then isnt used in part of the GB-PVR configuration. Its just used for helping European users understand which frequencies are being used for their analog channels if their broadcaster is using nonstandard frequencies.

What you need to do is setup your capture source, then click the 'map digital channels to epg channels'.

Got that thanks!

I have the channels scanned and I have been asked to ‘map’ them. The list of channels are in the same order as they were scanned in. I.e. BBC News is first on the large list as well as the ‘channels found during scan’. I am unable to tick the boxes under ‘Enabled’ or do anything else, so I am lost. I do get a picture in the small box though so I know something is working!

Are you using xmltv or dvb epg, and are you on Vista/Win7?

I am using DVB and have Windows Vista HP. I did manage to highlight the boxes and tick them using the space bar. I got a blue screen of death when I had finished, but I now have a picture and it seems to be working apart from the fact that on the first start up (of Live TV) it was in 16:9 but having resized it its now stuck in 4:3 mode.

That'd be some driver bug. Either in your capture device, or your video device.

You can press F7 to cycle through aspect ratio modes. Its important to note that the 'Auto' mode only works if your video decoder is set to something other than 'system default'.
