Actually, no. I'd expect to see other GB-PVR registry settings there, so it doest look like you're putting in the correct place.

OK. I will check on that when I come home.

But the path of the registry where the new entry is placed is displayed in the lower part of the window in the image I attached, "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Devnz".

And live TV in GB-PVR works as long as not CI/Cam is chosen. Could that be possible with a faulty registry?

Sub,

Is this what you expect the registry to look like as discussed in earlier postings #28-#31?

No, thats HKEY_CURRENT_USER not HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. I dont have access to a GB-PVR machine to tell you the names of the registry settings that should be in the same location, but something like 'GBPVR InstallDir' or similar is a key one.

Yes, I know...

So what went wrong?

I use this computer exclusively for media purposes. I don't mess around with other programs on the computer and the install of gb-pvr was successful without any interruptions etc.

Further, I have re-installed the gb-pvr 2 times without any other result.

Is there anyone else succeeded in installing Hauppauge HR900H with a CI/CAM module on Vista x64 and made it work?

What should I do?? Surely, there must be something else to try??

I dont there are any other WinTV-CI users at this stage. Support for it was only added with the 1.4.7 release a few weeks back. It does work for me though. I'm on 32bit vista, but it should work with x64 too.

I really need to get that Psi.log to advise further. If you bump the thread next weekend (when I'm back in New Zealand), I'll help you make sure you add the setting to the correct place in the registry.
