Problem updating EPG on SBS

Hi
I'm having problem with DVB-S EPG for SBS is not updating when run with the automatic update or from the NMT System Menu, but it updates fine if run from the System Menu on the serve.

I assume you have your automatic epg update set for 8:00am?
I see this in your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log but I have no idea what it means but it looks like it could be the problem.

I just had a look at my logs & mine definatly don't have that error in them & is updating from DVB EPG for SBS fine.
Perhaps it would be worth trying running Re-RegisterFilters.bat to see if that makes a difference, but I feel this is one sub will need to comment on.

It looks like there is some text in the EPG that the parser doesnt like.

If you create c:\temp directory, and set <SaveDvbEpgXML>true</SaveDvbEpgXML> in config.xml, then try updating the epg, them zip and attach the c:\temp\dvbepg* files, I'll take a look.

Done what you said and got a file but appears to have nothing in it have attached file any way and logs. Automatic update was at 8am


Just before I send this I done an update on the server from pvrx2 in systems and have attached file from the temp folder. this one seems to have some thing in it. Its named dvbepg-8-T12646,V,12600,

To be honest, I'm not sure. That xml file looks ok.

Sub if I understand correctly the first attachment was the logs & xml file from an automatic update & the xml file was empty & that error was in the logs again

The second attachment was from a manual update from the system menu & from what he said before manual updates are working fine & that xml file has data in it?

But then again I'm not having the best day when it comes to messages so I could be wrong

What happened after today's 8am automatic update was there any data in the file in the temp directory?

I’m still have problems updating epg with automatic updates
I have changed to doing it with dvdtoxml with no success but when I update epg through pvrx2 it updates all right
The automatic updates starts at 8am

Dose pvrx2 do it a different way than recording service?
