I have had everything working with my popcorn hour for quite some time. I've had a few small issues and saw there was an update to mvpmc at the link below. So I decided to upgrade.

http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...ostcount=1

I ran the exe, but did not remember my mac id number. I read that if I was just updating I didn't need to worry about that, so I didn't type anything in for the mac id and ran the update. Everything installed without errors but after the update I could get to the GBPVR menus fine but when I went to play something everything just went black. I thought maybe I should have entered the mac id so I looked it up, ran the update again, and this time added the mac id. Now I can't get to the gbpvr menus anymore. It just goes black before it gets to the gbpvr menu. I looked in the logs, but I don't seem to get any, it looks like it locks up before it can generate anything.

Running your checking utility I get:

Code:
Checking for mvpmc share on SERVER
MVPMC        D:\shares\MVPMC                 Folder for Popcorn Hour

Checking GB-PVR.html links
D:\shares\MVPMC                 Folder for Popcorn Hour           \GB-PVR.html not found

MAC

GB-PVR Installed C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\

WebServerEnabled true
WebServerNMTStreamingEnabled true
WebServerPort 7647

The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

Checking NMT Version
01-17-091202-15-POP-402-000

Checking NMT Display
720p 60Hz

Calling NMT Source
SERVER:mvpmc
smb://SERVER/mvpmc Username:  Password Length: 0

Movies
smb://SERVER/Movies Username:  Password Length: 0

There seems to be a problem with GB-PVR.html
but the file exists at D:\shares\MVPMC\GB-PVR.html
and seems to be fine.

Any ideas on what to try next?

For updating hopefully you just selected the update of mvpmcx2. Everything looks fairly good here, could you enter the IP of your NMT and run this again. If you don't know the IP check the NMT's Setup->Network screen

That error message can probably be ignored I think it is because you added the comment.

I checked the ip on the popcorn hour and I was using the right ip address. I ran it again and got the same result. One thing I have not done was reboot the server after the install. I will try that later on tonight, the server is in the middle of a backup right now that I don't want to stop.

Thanks,

Ok, I don't understand why the MAC didn't show up. After you reboot, if you still have problems upload your logs.

I don't support installations with Weather2 I see this error

Code:
2010-03-11 18:51:32.093    ERROR    [6]    Inner exception: System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\Plugins\weather2\config\config.xml' because it is being used by another process.

Could you disable it and send your logs again.

I did disable it before I zipped logs....I know there had been problems with it so I unchecked it in the config.

The last time I tried bring the popcorn hour up it was disabled.

Do I need to uninstall it too?

It certainly is logging so I guess you should uninstall it. Also you need to AutoStart only 1 MVP Server.

Ok, I clicked the check mark to disable all plugins. Set it to start only 1. Then tried twice to start the popcorn hour. One thing I noticed is that it looks like I might be getting an error message on a white background just before the screen goes black. It is just a quick flash so I can't read it. I'm not sure if that is normal and I just have not noticed it before.

Also it seems to lock up the PCH. I have to unplug it to reset it after I try to start GBPVR.
