The lowest price for a A-210 is ~€200. So I guess price won't go down much for the A-300.

That's why I opted to teach myself the Flash interface. For those that don't need the full jukebox the Popbox V8 will hopefully suffice. Here is it in the Netherlands delivered with VAT for €139,95 http://www.streambox.nl/popbox-popbox-v8...anguage=en

Again no promises though

Nice project, Martin! Have you ever considered the Apple TV2 as a client, since it can run xbmc?

Hi Chris,

I have considered it , but I think XBMC is such a good project with a better UI then NPVR and it would be far smarter to support native XBMC-PVR functionality and treat NPVR as just a backend.

So being flash based is it using anything specific to the NMT's or will it run on anything that supports flash. Like Web Browsers (and perhaps my Logitech Revue)
Intel i5 3.2Ghz Quad Core, Windows 10 Pro 64Bit
12 GB RAM, Gigabit LAN,3TB SATA HD 8MB Cache Dedicated Recording Drive
SiliconDust Prime, PCH A-100 & C-200, Chromecast, FireTV
Raspberry Pi 3 Running OSMC, Samsung Smart TV UN32H5201AF
Cable Provider: Comcast in Oregon, USA

I will be writing two flash app's. One specific to the NMT that uses the DavidBox API for media playback (the NMT's don't support flash video), and a more generic player using ActionScript video playback APIs for rapid development. It might work on Google TV, but the video formats will likely be limited (maybe not mpeg-ts) and I am sure I will have some issues with the remote.

XBMC definitely looks great. I really want to give it try, I just don't know on what platform yet. Are you working on a xbmc plugin for NPVR?

I wonder how well Swiffy or Wallaby would convert the Flash to HTML 5....

Here's are review of the V8 http://www.mediasmartserver.net/2011/10/...popbox-v8/ The player will rely more on the Syabas player, so the safest bet is still the mpvmcx2.

So are you saying that what you have already probably will just work with the V8? If so, I hope they bring it to the US soon...

Not yet, the ATV2 isn't quite good enough for me to consider.

I don't think that ActionScript to JavaScript is going to be good enough. I would be smarter to code a pure HTML5 app.

I don't know if I am saying that it will work on any platform. The US already has the Popbox 3D and the flash code should run on that (just slower), the V8 may not make it to the US,

Hi All

Whilst I would love an XBMC plug and interface, at this time with the new Eden release due by Christmas, it is time to wait to see what changes to the code there are. There we significant changes between 9.11 and 10.0. The combination of NPVR and XBMC would be world class.
