Reading through this thread I am left wondering what is the next logical step to move from the A100 that will allow me to access NPVR?

Concerned with the risk of getting slammed again, I will once again bring up the Roku box. Sure it may not do Blue Ray quality video, but many other companies (Netflix, Hulu, etc...) are supporting the platform. If nPVR had the option of saving to .mp4 format, all my troubles would disappear! The conversion process from .ts to .mp4 with multiple subsequent recordings fails inconsistently. Now use a netbook using NEWA to view shows, when Roku conversions have failed. Sometimes we watch recordings in the main theater area, others in our bedroom. Moving the cabling is a pain in the butt, and I like the Roku channel interface much better than NEWA. Have used nPVR client too and following the latest patches and forum threads is daunting. It should not be this difficult! I do not want to set up an htpc machine, let alone two.

Another thing, how about a Wii client?

I have been waiting others too. The Roku option is a very poor choice, but I am curious what NPVR users propose as a client (a full powered HTPC, a PC with an AMD APU or ION, a general extender like the WD, XBMC client etc) in 2011. A few want something like the NMT client but I've always considered it a niche product with little demand from the majority of NPVR users. Maybe this question should be posted in a General Discussion to widen the focus?

Myself, I use a pair of old NMT's and these work fine, are reliable, small, quiet and are cheaper than a properly spec'd PC.
I also have use of an Acer Revo. This works with NPVR, but requires some faffing around to both get it working and using it (I don't have a remote for it, just keyboard/mouse). It can be handy as a web device as well.

I guess what is needed is something that is open, available worldwide, from a manufacturer who will support it for some years and still be around to do so and not keep bringing out new, incompatible products and forgetting their old ones. Hmmm, not easy then.

No not right now, as I answered earlier http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post421799 I know enough ActionScript now to know I am not happy with the way LiveTV is working with the Syabas player and I am not sure I want to continue.

It seems to me with Honeycomb and Android Market coming to the Google TV platform this week, and Google TV To be launched in Europe next year, that this might be the platform to support. Plus the Logitech Revue at $99 is a pretty great deal.

Does the the Revue decode video like NMT does? Looking at the specs it seems to just be an internet appliance that can run apps and access internet based content....didn't see anything about supported video/audio specs.

This link should show the supported formats. But the NMT Does have better codec support at this point.
