I know that there are other posts with similar problems, I just did not see a solution, so I'm posting anyway...

The weekly and daily recording scheduling does not work for me. The only way I can record reocurring shows reliably is to record all shows on the channel. (or imput each show manually)

I have the newest release of GBPVR, with recordingsmanager (which just renames the recordings).

Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm not aware of any problems with this.

Are these daily/weekly recordings showing up in the pending section of the recordings screen.

If you think its not working for you. Set up a test, and send the logs to me at support@devnz.com and let me know what you think should have recorded but didnt.

Well, i figured out that it was the "don't record duplicates (zap2it)" that I had checked in the config utility that was messing me up. I unchecked it, and it is working fine.

However, now it will record duplicates. How do I use that utility properly so the recorder checks to see if I have recorded en episode already?

Thnx

The 'dont record duplicates' option is only as good as the unique show identifiers supplied by zap2it.

Out of curiosity, which show was causing problems so I can take look at it myself?

I believe that every show, including sitcoms, news talk shows, primetime dramas, pbs shows, was effected by this problem.

Does the option to not record duplicates set up a log file that it checks recordings against? Maybe I can look at that file to see what was going on.

No, I dont believe that. Zap2it is known to reuse show IDs for a small number of shows. From my experience news shows often reuse IDs, but primetime drames and sitcoms should all be OK. If you give me an explicit example with times etc, then I'll look into it.

If does log all this information, but it wouldnt be easy for you to interpret. Give me an example and I'll work through it.

If you can provide the name of the show and logs to go with, I'll take a look.

Sub,

Where do I look to see the ID's so I can check myself? I'm in zipcode 46032 Carmel non-digital and trying to record the Three Stooges. When I set duplicates to No nothing records. This is pretty trivial and you don't need to be wasting your time on it.

Spyder, from the config app can you do an 'Update EPG' and post the config.exe.log file?
