Well, I've dug around in here for a while and didn't see this posted, so here goes. I stumbled across the config setting "prompt for resume" on the misc tab. Per some notes that I read a few days ago, this is supposed to allow me to resume playback of a movie at the place that I left off. However, if I turn this flag on, the second time that I attempt to play a movie, GBPVR just hangs at the very beginning of the movie, and I never get a prompt.

Am I missing something, or is there a bug in here somewhere?

Thanks,
Kevin

I'm not aware of any issues with this. If you press the left arrow and 'enter' does anything happen?

i have that exact issue with the current release - i found by switching the mpeg playback decoders to the intervideo ones it fixed the problem totally, i had been using the cyberlink sp decoders.

I was using the cyberlink codec set and I found that I was getting black screens on my Nova-t. I had to go back to the intervideo set to get it to work. This is with the latest release

I had to also switch MPEG decoders to Intervideo. I found that it was an MPEG problem when my Divx/Xvid .AVI files played fine.

This happened right after I upgraded to the last version. As usual, I thought it was just my setup and didn't report this on the forum. ... I'll know better next time.

I have the following problem with "prompt for resume" for just recordings

* works for videos like AVIs
* for recordings (MPEG2 I guess) I see the option screen for a fraction of a second and then the screen goes BLACK - if you know to either push ENTER or push LEFT ARROW/ENTER then you can still use the feature and it works - just not a good user experience

This occured for both the NVIDA decoder and the InterVideo decoder (v6.0.6.109).

Any thoughts?

I too had this occur with the recent releases using the Nero decoders, though I'm not exactly sure I know which release it started with. I switched back to the ATI-specific Cyberlink decoders and then it works.

I've tried using the "CyberLink DTV Video Decoder", v3.5.0.5312, but still have the same problem. I can only assume that when I'm changing the configuration settings for PLAYBACK, VIDEO DECODER in gbpvr config it is using this (i.e. I'm not seeing a difference re this item when I chance decoders)
