I was recording all shows to my first hdd (vol c). I've got a 4 drive system. Clean the 4th drive up and xfered all the files over to it. Used the config utility to add the new drive as a video folder and as the default recording folder.

I can read/play all the shows if I go into the videos section, however the recordings section only contains the new shows that have been recorded.

Is there a way to merge my existing recordings w/ the recordings option so that I can see them all and look at the data on the show.

Also did a drive move recently. Used MS-Access to go into the gbpvr mdb file and replaced all ocurrences of C:\recordings to H:\recordings in the recordings table.
Needless to say you may want to backup the mdb first.

I have moved my recodings to another drive recently as well, and now they don't appear in my recording list. They do appear in my video library folder, but it would be more convenient in the recording list. However, I only have Access 97, and it won't open the gbpvr.mdb file. Is there another way I can update the recording list?

No sorry, these files will just have to be part of you video library now.

I was finally able to open the gbpvr.mdb file in Access, but there is no "recordings" table. The only table that I could find that had any paths and filenames was "Playback_Position". I changed all of those to the new drive location and restarted the recording service, but that didn't change my recording list. Is the recording list contained somewhere else?

FYI, these are the tables in my gbpvr.mdb file:

CAPTURE_SOURCE
CHANNEL
CUSTOM_TASK_SETTING
DIRECT_RECORDING_SOURCE
EXE_CHANNEL_CHANGER
GIRDER_CHANNEL_CHANGER
GO7007SB_RECORDING_SOURCE
IR200L_CHANNEL_CHANGER
PLAYBACK_POSITION
PROGRAMME
RECORDING_SCHEDULE
RECORD_SEASON
SOURCE_CHANNEL_MAPPING
USBUIRT_CHANNEL_CHANGER
WINTV_CAP_SOURCE
XMLTV_EPGSOURCE
ZAP2IT_EPGSOURCE

They're contained in the RECORDING_SCHEDULE table. This table has a programme_oid which points to the actual programme record (with the title etc).

That table doesn't seem to help me. There are no file locations in the RECORDGING_SCHEDULE table or the PROGRAMME table. How do I make my recordings which were moved to another drive appear in the recordings list in GBPVR?

Did you look in the RECORDGING_SCHEDULE filename column?

I have two records in the RECORDING_SCHEDULE table currently:

42 25201 1 0 Renovate My Family 0 0 10/4/2004 8:00:00 PM 10/4/2004 9:00:00 PM 15 1 1 1
43 25202 1 0 Renovate My Family 0 0 10/4/2004 9:00:00 PM 10/4/2004 10:00:00 PM 15 1 1 1

The filename column contains "Renovate My Family," but it does not specify the location of the file on my hard drive. If I want to add recordings from my other hard drive to this table, what do I need to put in the various columns?

These are pending recordings. Completed recordings have a full file name. If the entries you're looking for arn't in this table, then they've probably been deleted because the files referred to no longer existed.

Just move the video files to you video library and be done with it. The tables were never intended to be modified by the end-user. sorry.
