I connected the TV out of my PVR350 to my TV with an s video cable and got a great picture but naturally no sound. The S video output from the PVR also has a set of composite connectors so I connect the left and right audio to my TV and got sound but the picture became black and white. I assume the PVR350 started outputing composite instead of s video and hence the black and white picture through my s video cable. I disconnected the phono leads but the svideo didn't revert to a colour even after a reboot.

How do I get the PVR350 to output svideo again and can I use the composite audio outputs with svideo or will I need to ourput sound from a soundcard if I want to use s video output?

I tried the file but unfortunately it hasn't made any difference. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Did you change the setting on your tv? My tv has combined svideo and composite inputs. Selecting for instance av3 uses the composite input, av3s uses the svideo input. If the signal is connected to de svideo connector, but I choose av3 I get b/w picture.

I just tried all the av channels and checked the TV setup. Unfortunately it hasn't helped. Thanks for your thoughts
