Hi,

I think I finally narrowed down my wintv-pvr-usb2 problems to this:
When I leave the PC switched on all scheduled recordings work. If I put the PC to standby then gbpvr will wake the pc to record the scheduled show and go back to standby. BUT, if I have a look at them later the picture is all green and red and garbled as if the channel was not tuned in properly. This can only be resolved by running wintv once (looks like this resets something in the card).
I tried a second scenario where I leave the PC switched on: Gbpvr records everything, goes to standby. When it now wakes up to record a second show the picture is fine ! What is the difference between me putting the PC into standby manually and gbpvr putting it into standby automatically ? Is it possible that gbpvr doesn't initialize the card properly when it wakes from standby ? Unnecessary to mention, but the wintv schedule application works in both cases without distorted picture.
Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

Oliver

GB-PVR doesn't put the machine into standy, I'm guessing you do (by setting your machine to automatically standby after some period of time without activity). Infact, GB-PVR never know your machine was in standby. I initialize the card the same way every time I start a recording.

I'm guessing the PVR USB2 drivers have a bug which causes them to not correctly initialize themself when they are restored from standby. I'll take a look at the weekend, but I'm not sure of anything I should be doing differently.
