I seemed to have run into a small problem when testing 2 Maui cards. I went to the guide and started recording 3 shows. 1 for each Maui and another for the PVR150. Everything looked fine until I noticed a few things.

1. When I started recording with the second Maui card, the size of the recording mpeg file from the first Maui card stopped increasing.

2. Once the recording times for all had finished, the first Maui card did not change recording status. Even after waiting 5 more minutes, the Recording Status for Maui#1 didn't change. It still said recording.

I am attaching any logs I could get.

The logs look fine. Do you know for sure the Maui components support two card in the one process? Some other cards have been know to drivers or multiplexers that dont support two cards in the one machine.

I emailed Lumanate to find out answer to my 2 issues. In the mean time, is there a way I can verify this behaviour easily?

Also, who do I talk to about updating the wiki for the Capture card list? I don't have a wiki account setup.

Thanks,
Greg

I've updated the wiki, and the front page of gbpvr.com.

BTW, you should rename your direct.ini section to [Emuzed Maui-I HP], to make sure the next upgrade goes smoothly. I used this name to be more consistent with the rest.

Ok, I'll update the name. I was thinking the same thing. I was wondering how to update this page. With the list of cards.

The link for drivers for the Maui cards are here. I believe they are all PCI and might have to mention that only one card is supported until I get further info.

Well, I got a reply back saying that it was certified with at least dual tuner. So I am back to my original question. Is there a way I can verify this behaviour outside of gbpvr? It would be nice to sort this out.

You'd have to really find another app that supports two Maui cards to be able to test this. I cant think of one off hand.

When I try and cancel the recording that is stuck, all I see in the log is the following and it remains in the status as recording and doesn't release the tuner.

3/16/2006 10:16:27 PM.209 VERBOSE [67] Recording not yet cancelled
3/16/2006 10:16:27 PM.724 VERBOSE [67] received request to reload schedule

Is any more data available during this when it fails? As a reminder, when the recording starts on the 2nd tuner, the 1st stops writing to the file.

Here is a copy of the logs during a test.

- remove my pvr150 from config app
- added second maui card in config app
- manually start recording on maui #1 from EPG
- manually start recording on maui #2 from EPG
- recording #1 stop recording...??
- manually stop recording #2 from EPG
- manually try and stop recording #1 from EPG... it doesn't go away.

Interesting thing I see is that comskip thinks #1 stopped recording the same time that #2 started. It's almost looks like starting #2 killed the #1 recording but GBPVR didn't notice.
