Ive had a search around, but im having some issues still.

System -

Duron 1100
512mb DDR400 @ 200fsb
A7N8X-X
20gb hdd, 5400rpm
Newest GBPVR with .net 2.0
New install of XP pro

Media files play back absolutely fine in VLC player, but are very stuttery in gbpvr, if they run at all (this is my second gbpvr box, setting it up for easy use for the folks)

What are the recommended codecs to install for file playback through gbpvr?
what would be causing this stuttering?

Also, i cant seem to install ffdshow, it complains about not being able to write to (or something similar, i forget now) ffdshow.ax file...

Thanks in advance guys Smile

What type of file are you trying to play (MEPG-2, divx, xvid, other)?

I wouldnt use ffdshow if I was you - your machine is a little underpowered for this.

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe-native.log so I can see what directshow filters are being used.

Do the files play fine with Windows Media Player? If so, then they should also work fine with GB-PVR, though you may need to switch to the Overlay renderer given your low grunt machine.
