Sub,

I am trying to nail down my last remaining problem with my recent reinstall. Around 8:09 pm I was trying to play a recording, and when the recording started the screen turned all green with random blocks of color. and the sound is still playing. The remote will not stop the recording, but the remote will mute the audio. also, if its a recording that i had started before, I can tell that its paused, asking me if I want to restart or resume. The only way to get back control is to VNC into the box and clt-alt-del and end GBPVR, which still says its running (not "not responding"). Im at my limit of ideas

The logs speak of some error of the database being locked at that time. If you could take a look at the logs and give me some direction. Thanks!

Yes, its probably be something to do with those messages in the log, but there is no indication why it occurred. Most likely because whatever you did before it did not cleanly close its database transaction.

If you manage to find a reproducable set of steps, let me know and I'll check it.

I can reprodue it. I play a recording, I let it finish. (not stop it before its finished), then play another recording. 9 times out of 10 it will do it then. But if I stop a recording before its finished, almost every time, it plays fine.

Can you reproduce it from the video library? If so, please post the logs.

do you mean, play recordings from the video menu, or play other videos that I have (not recordings)?

Either. They should be the same. Probably worth playing a recording that has had the problem in the past from the 'recordings' screen.

I'm curious if it is a problem with the 'recordings' screen or the actual playback itself.

What was the name show you were watching when the error occurred? There is several shows viewed in your logs, so I want to narrow it down.
