Well I need my TV tuner for tonight, and in GBPVR, i seem to have bad quality picture.
I plug the thing into my TV, and i get a crystal clear picture. I then plug it into my TV, and its meh quality.
Its crap quality compared to the HD channels I get locally.

I need some form of instructions within the hour please, I'm trying to record Heroes tonight.
I think it has to do with the brightness

Thanks!Smile

Are you sure it's the tuner thats giving bad quality and not just the TV out from the PC?

Why don't you do a 5 min recording and burn to DVD or something and check if the issue is still there on a standalone.

Also some info about the tuner, your machine, your graphics card etc might help.

You'll probably find its a playback problem rather than a recording problem. If you want to check that, you could try burning the recording to a DVD then view it on your DVD player. If it looks good that way, then its the playback components you're using that are causing the problem (ie, videocard or video decoder or both).

Are you doing ATSC or analog recordings with your ATI 650? Nearly all the files I've seen on P2P sites come from digital sources rather than analog capture, and these are significantly better than you'd get through the analog side of your ATI 650.

That quality is pretty horrible, but I assume that since this program is friends, that it is not a HD source?

Is this the MPEG recording being played?

Thanks
