Help with HDHomeRun

Hello all.

I just got a HDHomeRun and am trying to set it up. I've been following the directions found here:

After running the Map Channels scan I get a bunch of QAM channels, but they are numbered all funny. When I go to the bottom of the instructions it tells me to run a remapping program... that isn't there!

The thread I'm sent to is gone. A Google search on the subject finds a page (I think the right one) but the utility is no longer linked correctly -- I get a 404.

Any help is appreciated!

Those instructions need to be updated. They were for the hdhomerun_bda.remap file. The latest HDHR software uses a new channel mapping technique. Run the HDHomeRun Setup program and in the lineup tab, there should be a button that says "Channel Editor".

I saw that when I was scanning channels in there. Is there something specific I should be putting in those entries, or can I just make them up?

You can make them up but Major channel numbers may need to be between 1 and 99 and minor channel numbers may need to be between 1 and 9. I have not had time to play with the latest software yet.
