When using the volume contoll (Happ 45 btn) It doens't stop at the lowest volume, it cycles around to full volume! Not good for ones heart or WAF! Same if one goes to full volume, it will cycle to low.

I don't know when this problem started, but probably when I went to .16.

Any idears on a fix.

What volume setting are you using on the playback tab of the config app?

There hasnt been any changes to the volume stuff in quite a while, so I'd be surprised if it's any different to previous releases.

This has happened to me before too. I set the system volume to 90%, and set GBPVR to use LOCAL volume, and turn it down to normal levels. Now no surprises.

Had it set to Master instaed of local. Problem fixed. Thanks.

Now I have to find out why certain buttons loose focus while playing vids.
OK, arrows, skip, back, ff, etc stop working. Volume works. Have to pull out the mouse. Have to restart pvrx2.

This problem comes and goes.

I'm aware of to things that can cause this:

1) an old version of the Cyberlink video decoder being used with VMR9, even though it is not compatible with VMR9. In this case, use a different decoder.

2) user is watching a AVI files with the divx decoder, which starts up a little tray icon which steals the focus from the application. In this case, uninstall the decoder and install an alternative decoder like the xvid decoder.

Looks like it's option 2. I uninstalled Divx, and installed Xvid. Now the buttons work. However, no picture on certain Divx avi's. So now I'm back to Divx/ mouse combo :-(

The strange thing is this behavior only started recently. I'ts been working fine. I've installed the TV listings plug in, could this have triggered this behavior?

If you look on the divx forums you'll find info about killing the tray app thingy. The same problem affects lots of apps with this decoder.

I seem to even remember a post here recently when a user said you could rename an executable to get rid of the divx tray. Do a forum search.
