Ola,

today I'v switched to 1.1.15 (+ survival patches).

With the new version I cant get the multidec support to work. I can watch fta channels but if I try to watch a encrypted channel the softcam seems not to be called (no Icon pops up in tray) and after some seconds black screen it jumps back to epg (mvp).

softcam etc works fine directly before upgrading.

thnx

Does it make any difference if you start on an encrypted channel vs a non-encrypted one?

unfortunly not,

reboot,
some seconds fta channel, then encrypted channel: black screen (mvp), no softcam icon.

reboot,
encrypted channel: black screen (mvp), no softcam icon, then fta and back - no change.

Can you reproduce this one, then zip and attach the logs?

Hmmm, I can only see these three attempts, and none of these appear to be encrypted channels. (they'd have a "~E:T" bit in the tuning request, ie Encrypted:True)

the first one is encrypted, do I have to tell gbpvr that a channel is encrypted ?

It should have detected this at the time you original scanned for these channels, and would have stored the tuning request containing this "~E:T" bit at that time.

Updating the version of GB-PVR you're using wouldnt have changed this tuning request string. I cant see hour it would have worked for you in the past. Have you set up your channels again since upgrading?

I had only installed th new version (from 1.0.8).

In the past I have had add most channels manuell in the sql. But I swear It worked without problems on fta and encrypted channels. I think thats because mdapi+softcam allways was involved ?

ok, now I have to add the "~E:T" bit to the database. Is there any special syntax, eg at the end pf the tuning string ?

There is some logic in the new release that makes sure the valuable single instance of the multidec filter isnt used up when recording an unencrypted channel. It uses the encrypted indicator in the tuning request to determine this. Because you've manually created some of these in SQL, and forgot to include the ~E:T part, so that app is assuming its unencrypted so no point wasting the multidec instance.

This was to improve things where multiple capture devices were available.

As long as it is before the name at the end.
