Hi guys. I'm fairly new to GBPVR, but I like it a lot. I was able to get it working with an ATI Theatre 550 card, but am having real difficulty getting it to find channels from my Twinhan AD-SE200 DVB-S card.

This is what happens:

(1) I launch config.
(2) Add my Twinhan AD-SE200 as a capture source, select my satellite (Optus D1, NZ FTA) and set the Ku band LNB LO frequency (11300 Mhz).
(3) Hit the "Map digital channels to EPG channels" button.

As the scan occurs, I can actually see in the preview window TV programs sometimes briefly come up, but no channels are discovered.

If I extend the BDAPsiScanStartupSeconds and BDAPsiScanWaitSeconds parameters in the config.xml, I can see what's going on more clearly. As the scan is happening, I see only one channel per transponder show up in the preview window, but again when the scan finishes, it reports that no channels were found (even though they show up clear as a bell in the preview window).

The Twinhan Digital TV application finds all the channels just fine, so I know everything is OK with my dish and LNB.

I have tried everything I know, but am drawing blanks. Anyone got any advice for this newb?

Do a scan, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Are you using vista? This is similar behaviour to what I had and was solved by running the re-registerfilters.bat (inside gbpvr directory) as admin from a admin command prompt. If not vista I have no idea at all

Hey, thanks for that. Your post got me headed in the right direction. I looked through the log files myself and found that GBPVR was failing to find a filter. So, I ran the Re-RegisterFilters.bat file and all is now fixed.

Awesome - thank you!

Thanks. After sub mentioned sending him my log files, I looked through them myself and found it was a filter problem. So I ran Re-RegisterFilters.bat and that fixed it.

Oh, and I'm running XP, not Vista, so I guess this can happen with either OS.

Cheers,
Bill.
