Hello,

I read the post in this group and has orded the Actisys IR200L Channel change to control my Motorola DTC 2224 digital cable box.

I received the IR200L today and plug it into com1 and ran the channel changer configuration for it. I clicked the "New" button to teach it the signal from the cable remote control, a window popped up to instruct me to press hold channel 1 botton. I press and held channel 1 button for more than 2 minutes and nothing happens. Is there anything that I can do to trouble-shoot this problem.

I did make one mistake by installing the Window XP pro IR device driver as instructed by Actisys manual. After reading post from this group, I realized this would cause problems so I uninstalled the window driver.

Thanks,

Khac

Thanks to those that have responded.  I isolated my problem down to a bad serial port connection.

I got it to work.  I can now control my Comcast Digital Cable box made by Motorola DCT2223.  I am attaching the file just in case if any one is interested.

You will need to enable the "Zero pad channel numbers" and enable the "Use three digit channel numbers"

Thanks,

KT
