Hi there

A bit new to this.

I have tried to look through the forums and wiki for a solution to this but nothing found.

I have just installed v1.3.7 (computer specs in signature) and install seems to go fine. When I go to try and scan in config.exe my tuner it initialises and then starts scanning 1 of 3 but nothing happens. I have left it about 20 minutes but nothing. I cannot stop or cancel it or it just brings up a "not responding" error.

Hopefully I have attached the correct files.

Any help much appreciated and apologies if this is covered somewhere else.

you'll need to post the config.exe-native.log as well.

I can see it complaining about possible no signal:
Code:
2008-11-20 21:35:09.791    VERBOSE    SIGNAL???

and an error further up
Code:
2008-11-20 21:34:38.653    ERROR    Unexpected error exception during render. Caught and continuing.

You're aiming at the correct transmitter?? do you have something else to test it with, maybe another program??

Have double checked tuner and signal using "Transedit demo" and it picks up everything fine.

Any other suggestions?

You don't have any other software/services that could possibly use that tuner running? Although if that was the case I would have expected to see an error.

Hopefully sub will see your thread and have further insight....

I did wonder if Vista Media Center may be a problem. It is not "launched" as such but I don't know how much of a service it keeps running in the background. (I ran VMC TV setup using the tuner, knowing it would not pick up anything as there is no working H.264 support, but wanted to have it able to play previously recorded TV (in TV Pack .wtv format))
Does anyone know what service to stop in Vista to "free up" the tuner. Having said that Transedit had not trouble using the tuner under the same circumstances...

I have now tried installing 1.3.7 on my second pc which is a dedicated mediacenter pc (Specs - Intel DP965LT motherboard, Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (1.86GHz), 2GB Ram, Asus 512MB GeForce 8600GT, Auzentech X-plosion soundcard, Samsung F1 1000GB and 2x Seagate 500GB HDD's, Blackgold BGT3540, Hauppauge HVR-2200, Nova S Plus & PVR 150 MCE, Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 + TV Pack.)
I tried scanning for DVB-T with both the Blackgold and then the HVR-2200 with the same result - ie config.exe just stops responding.
Interestingly when I left the aerial off the 2200 on one occasion it completed the scan and told gave me an error of no signal or something like that.
Kind of seems like there is some sort of incompatibility with VMC TV pack and GBPVR 1.3.7?
Anyone have any ideas?
2nd PC logs attached

Have tried one more scan, this time without specifying a region (ie. scanning all regions). Scan gets to 34 of 57 and then stops. It kind of seems that when there is a signal is when it freezes. Don't know if that helps at all.

I had some similair issues with the directshow window freezing when I was testing the TV Pack on another machine here with GB-PVR.

Do you have a machine there without TV pack installed that you can test it on? Do you actually have the tuners enabled in VMC? If so GB-PVR possibly can't access them.
