I have just installed a new card, an AVerMedia AverTV Bravo Hybrid PCI-E. I didn't get an option to scan for channels but when I started Live TV I got a message that no channels were set. I added yapi2xml, which I used previously, and loaded the xml file and did an 'update epg'. Now when I Live TV I get the same error message. When I try TV Guide the screen locks. The logs, zip attached, complain about a 'divide by zero' exception.

Any help!

Did you do the 'map digital channels to epg channels' step?

Wow, that was quick... Yes I did, but am a little confused at the results. No digital channels were found, after scanning 1 to 68 channels. My digital channels start at 125.

ATSC channels are 1 - 68.

It sounds like you're after digital cable channels. I dont think GB-PVR can you use your card for digital cable. There is a support for a limited set of cards for doing QAM (digital cable), like those from Hauppauge, HDHomeRun etc. If your card is sufficiently like a Hauppauge card, you might get away with adding TUNING_SPECIAL=2 in the bda.ini section for your card.

It is also capable of Analog NTSC, see http://www.avermedia-usa.com//AVerTV/Pro...spx?Id=440. However, GBPVR only recognizes the card when I define it as digital. Is there a way around this? I was originally playing with PVR capabilities using a cheap generic USB device. However, I was so impressed at the the quality I could get with GBPVR using the Graph Recorder plugin that I built a new machine and thought I was doing a good thing upgrading my card!

Unfortunatly not. GB-PVR only supports analog on hardware encoder devices. This device has no hardware encoder. Sorry, you'd probably need to try getting it going with the Graph Recorder plugin, or look for a different card.

Sub,

As you suggested, I have created a graph which tested fine in GraphEdit. I added the Graph Recorder plugin but when I select Live TV I just get a black screen with the PVRX2 title bar. When I exit out, another black screen with a title bar of ActiveMovie Player is displayed. Have you seen this before?

Thanks again

I have got the problem sorted, kind of. I was using the VMR9 video renderer and when I switched to the basic Video Renderer, the problem went away. Would like to know why I can't use the VMR9 renderer though. In graphedit the picture is slightly crisper.
