Hey there, I just installed GB-PVR and I think I have everything setup correctly. The problem is when I went to do an EPG Update with Zap2it, the program reports that it is updating information for a long while, and then it goes to "Processing Zap2it listings" this then sits there for a LONG time...it's running right now for about the last 20 minutes. There is a program running in my task manager called config.exe that's been using around 98% of the CPU cycles and more increduosly, 194,668k of memory. I believe it's part of the GB-PVR setup program. Any help on with what's going on?

Thanks,
Thomas

how many channels of information in your labs.zap2it.com account have you selected? What type of internet connection have you? Your first connection can take some time, plus GBPVR then has to process the information and put this into its database.

Cheers,
Colin.

Hmm..there is probably around a 100 channels or so. The downloading process took about 10-15 minutes and it seemed to work fine, but like I said, the "processing time" was exceeding 20 minutes as of right now. I gave up on the last effort. It seems to hang on that process.

Thanks.

Just let it do it's thing. The first load can take quite a while, and does use quite a bit of memory, but subsequent updates are much faster (and consume less memory).

This area of the application isnt really tuned, but in the grand scheme of things not really time critical (considering it only needs to happen once).

The most I've ever heard reported was 40 minutes. On my machine this initial update only takes a few minutes. I have a hundred or so channels in my zap2it lineup.

Alright, so patience did pay off this time. I don't know how long it took because I ran it as I went off to bed, but it worked and all the channels are there. I think around 340 to be exact...lot more than I thought.

Thanks for your help and patience.
