I am running GBPVR09211 and USBUIRT drivers v1_3. I am using the direct recording plugin and a PVR350, my EPG is set to Bleb(UK) and channel changer is set to USB-UIRT plugin.

The problem I am getting is the sky box is sent the wrong signal to change channels. The signal sent causes the sky OSD to display a speaker icon and then two numbers which are the two numbers from the GBPVR config, recording source, source channel numbers.
If I edit the source channel numbers for the correct Sky channel number, for example 101 for BBC1 then the digibox is sent the correct signal.

How can I synchronise these numbers with the correct Sky channels?

Also, my EPG has many missing channels, MotorsTV (sky 413) to name but one. How can I get a complete EPG?

You need to type in the correct channel numbers for every channel.

Bleb is a little limited in the channels it offers. If you need more channels, you'd need to switch to xmltv.

Thanks Sub I suspected as much. Surely there must be a way of keeping those numbers in sync though. I don't know about you but I think all this manual editing/config is just too much. I mean it will take ages to initially input all of the correct channel numbers, and Sky also has had habit of moving the digital channel numbers around every now and again meaning you constantly have to manually check that the numbers in the config match the Sky guide. Rolleyes there must be an easier way

I definately need more channels ( Rolleyes but that will mean typing in more channel numbers!!!!).
Also I have very briefly investigated into XMLTV. Again though this seems like a very manual process. From what I can gather it requires 'AT' scheduling and command line scripting. I may be completely wrong on this though as I only looked into it briefly. I spend too much time in front of computers anyway, I thought to myself this was going to be a fun project at home to show my mates that you don't need to fork out for Sky Plus. I am begining to think I was so wrong, unless of course there is a simple way to create a working PVR. Or even a comprehensive guide to what appears to be standard, but complex, way of building a PVR. I mean even the name XMLtv sends shivers up my spine  , parsing XML files and such like surely is the realm of developers?

The channel numbers are not supplied by bleb, so I have no idea what they are. I provided a method for doing the channel numbers too, as these are listed in the bleb.ini file with GB-PVR, but asking several times for any UK user to update the master file with the correct numbers, no one ever did.

The is mainly a problem for bleb users. zap2it and most xmltv files contain the channel numbers.

XMLTV isnt as hard as it seems. See http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/ for relatively easy to use XMLTV grabber.

Sub, Thanks for that mate Smile

XMLTV Radiotimes is just what I was after, but unfortunately it returns the Radio Times channel IDs and not the Sky IDs.
What you can do though is edit the 'altchids.txt' file to correct the IDs (a bit easier working with .txt files than using the GBPVR config GUI).
I cannot believe that I am the only person to have encountered this config dilema  therefore I have posted my (almost) complete edited 'altchids.txt' file in the hope that it will help out others. It has the IDs synched for about 95% of the channels retrieved by XMLTV RT.

I now have another issue, which really deserves a new topic. THX
Jake
