As I've mentioned previously this tuner does not play nice on Windows Home Server and NPVR.
So I just did a clean install of 3.1.1 (prev 2.6) and moved my mentioned tuner back from ArgusTV to NPVR. And it didn't take long until I had my first BSOD. I don't know what it is this, tuner works fine on W7-NPVR/Argus/Mediaportal and WHS2011-Argus/Mediaportal but WHS2011-NPVR = BSOD.
Ofcourse Hauppauge newer release new drivers, and don't care to help on the issue.
Need help in making XBMC v12.1 or v12.2 running on MK908 Android MiniPC connect to NextPVR Service running on Windows 7 laptop. Linked blog post has fully illustrated details of the setup I used and connection problem I encountered. Link to download xbmc.log file is included.
First off, let me say that there's no way I would try to develope a plugin.
Too much for me.
That said, I believe I can handle a little skinning.
With that in mind, I started playing with the default recordings skin.
What I had in mind was to have a list of shows on the left side of the pane, with the number of recordings for each. That part is easy, it's already there.
Now, as you scroll down the list the corresponding individual shows would automatically pop up on the right side of the screen, where the metadata box currently is. I had no problem clearing that out of the way.
However, the episodes for the selected show still appear on a new screen, on the left side.
That's the part I need help with.
I'm starting to think this would take more than just rearranging of statemnents in the XML file?
I recently upgraded my client machine to version 3.1.1 (from 2.6.2). my Server machine was already running version 3.1.1.
Now when I try to watch live TV on my client, I get the "the tuner you were using was required..." error message even though the tuner (an HD PVR2) is not being used for recording or any other purpose. After trying multiple times it will eventually stream live tv successfully. I never had this problem with version 2.6.2.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so, were you able to find a solution? Searching the forum did not reveal a solution.
One of the ony upgrades I can think of lately is nextpvr 3.1 with DotNet 4. I can't think of anything else. There were 17 Windows updates around the same time, but they all seemed to be security and one for silverlight.
Video drivers haven't been updated in ages so I could upgrade though.
I need to check that I see it on VLC/Browser and I may do, which should eliminate that it's decoder type issues.
It seems like my set up cannot reliably tell when tuners are available. While it happened occasionally on 2.6.2, it's been a lot worse on 3.1.1. I'm getting a lot of failed recordings lately and from what I can decipher in the log files NPVR cannot locate an available tuner. Tonight it failed to record a number of shows despite tuners being available (on 2250 card).
I'm not sure if it's related, but it never shows any conflicts in the Recordings menu either, even when there are conflicts. I confirmed this last week when three recording were scheduled, all on separate frequencies. The Conflicts screen still showed no conflicts.
Logs attached.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. The wife POF is on the rise....
First I set up the PCH A100 using WMC but can only stream recorded shows. Would like to watch live tv also. I searched the forums, using "live TV", live tv nmt and many other variations, but to many results.
