Hi, first let me say i love this program, especially with XBMC!
I cant seem to pickup ATSC channel 34.4 I can see pick it up with the HDHomerun Quick TV, but NPVR wont get it when scanning.
I've tried searching high and low and have not seen anyone post a specific solution. For the record, I do have all the firewall permisions set. I can use NPVR fine, even with the pvr plugin in xbmc. I just don't know whats causing NPVR to skip a channel i'd like when i'm scanning for channels.
This is SO frustrating (I have a laser engineering degree, but am a novice wrt all this, and of course...MORE - so please walk me thru.
I bought a DIAMOND TV Tuner (TVW750USB) to watch cable TV on my COMPAQ Presario CQ57 laptop. I used the provided CD to properly install driver(s) and "ArcSoft TotalMedia 3.5" after Windows Media Center failed to detect tuner. Yes, it is listed under devices and "device is working properly".
Prior to this I checked and updated to get latest ".NET Framnework"...gasp! After re-boot and re-install, etc. I downloaded the recommended "NEXT PVR" that might better detect the device - - to NO avail, so????
No - I don't have another computer to try this on and I bought this online, so I might have to box and return?
Help,
- G
PS For all I know, I may have to connect the coaxial from the cable box to the tuner for detection of device?
I can get video but no audio.. can someone tell me the best config for WINTV-HVR-2250?
I need to be able to watch live tv and get all the digital and HD channels. any help is appreciated!!
Hi guys
I just saw this info. I use old popcorn hours to run NPVR and I need another. Are you saying I can use a Samsung Bluray player to do the same? and if so will the BD-7500 be the best model?
If this works the same I will be so pleased.
thanks
Dave

Does anyone know if this USB tuner works with NextPVR as I know it only works with some DVB-S2 devices. I was considering a TBS card but keep seeing reports of them runing hot and failing after a year or so.
For dll's that might have widespread use what do other dev's think is the best method of distribution? I don't expect NextPVR will be able to load different version of the dll for different plugins so common might be ok, except sub might have a future need. For the next release I need Newtonsoft.Json in SearchLite and imageGrabLite
I'm a bit new to the PVR game, but I've read as many forum posts and guides as I possibly can.
The goal was to end up with a setup similar to this post.
When I attempt to view Live TV or recordings inside of NPVR, I receive the following error (again and again, even if i keep clicking continue.)
I've attached my logs in the hopes that someone is able to determine the issue. The logs are clear except for these few attempts to view live television and view a new recording.
(I previously had issues with 0 Byte recordings, but that was resolved when I resolved my firewall issues.)

Troubleshooting thus far:
I'm able to see programming using the HDHomeRun QuickTV viewer, NPVR sees the tuners and is hooked up with my Schedules Direct account (and only has the channels I'm subscribed to.)
The TV Guide works fine inside of NPVR (gets all of the listings.)
I have plenty of space on my recording drive, and the program has access to the drive (running as admin with folder permissions set to full)
Windows Firewall is open
Antivirus has exceptions for NPVR
Router has correct port forwarding and IGMP settings
Hardware:
Thank you for being such an outstanding community; the information available when searching was extremely helpful in and of itself.
I was really looking forward to a more versatile PVR package to replace my Beyond TV, but I just can't get NextPVR to run.
I have a Silicon Dust HD Homerun (not prime) dual tuner box, the nPVR settings/devices/scan shows 575 Channels. I would expect that I should be able to open "Live TV" at this point, butwhenever I do this, I get a "Not Responding" from Windows. Have I missed a step?
Log files are attached - help would be greatly appreciated.
NextPVR: 2.6.2
XBMC: 12.2
XBMC Add-On: 1.6.4
TimeShift: Never enabled
Windows: 8 Professional
HDHR Prime
Everything is cool in the NextPVR app but in XBMC I cannot change channels. The initial channel will play fine. I have tried re-installing everything except Windows but no joy. Any advice is much appreciated!
