I have a number of DVB-S cards but am wondering if any can be used following my latest NPVR rebuild on W7 64 bit. I have a Technisat Skystar HD2, Twinhan 1022 and 1030. Feel like I'm clutching at straws but has anyone found 64 bit drivers for these?

XMLTV schedule is not updating. The current update only goes to daytime Dec 26, 2011. Nothing for the evening of Dec 26 and beyond.

Is everyone having the same problem?

Is there an alternate schedule that's usable?

I've finally pulled the trigger on a new machine and I'll be upgrading to nPVR into Windows 7. Any tips on whether it should be 64 bit or 32 bit?

I want to use the following hardware:
adaptec 3610
pvr 150
remote wonder plus

software
ir suite
HIP (I'm not sure if it works on 64 bit or Win 7 but I'm crossing my fingers)

Can anyone comment on the drivers and such for this hardware?

There is a new DVB-T channel in Australia, TV4ME, which supposedly broadcasts in MPEG4.
I have the following tuners: Winfast DTV1000S, Winfast DTV 2000DS and Winfast Dongle Gold.
I can play the channel using the Winfast software, on all the tuner cards.

However, I can't play this channel with NextPVR in Live TV on any of the tuners.
Wrong decoder? Probably.

So, should I be changing the MPEG2 decoder in Settings or H264 decoder? Changing the H264 decoder has no effect. Do I have to restart the recording service after each change?

I have the following H.264 decoders. All give audio but no video: Arcsoft Video Decoder, ffdshow DXVA video decoder, ffdshow video decoder, DivX H.264 decoder, CoreAVC Video Decoder, ATI MPEG Video decoder (makes NPVR crash) and Microsoft DTV-DVD Video decoder.

If I do Media Info on the Live TS file, it says MPEG Version 2. So, is the channel lying when they say it will be MPEG4? If so, why does my regular MPEG2 decoder not work.
VLC plays the Live TS file, and again says MPEG 1/2/3

Any suggestions?

i'm only getting 7 days data with mc2xml from microsoft...anybody else having same problem?
Schedules Direct users as well? mine cuts off day after xmas, has for several days updates...same cutoff date for several days now..

a look at the xml shows the data just stops then...data all in good shape and imports fine..

maybe they're planning a change?

This would be very usable when hunting rare issues that does not occur regularly. Like shortcut recordings that it may pass a day or two before you notice.

I've been a user of Beyond TV for years, but recently, I've been unable to make it work with my Hauppauge HD-PVRs. I tried GBPVR a while back ( 2003 ish ), and found it interresting, but it wasn't stable for me at the time. Now that BTV is not longer an option, I decided to give it a try again.

My setup is as follows:
an Asus P5K motherboard ( can't remember the exact model)
Intel core 2 quad q9540
4 MB memory
Windows XP SP3
3 HD-PVR
one IRBlaster and 2 ACT-IR200L RS232 ir blasters

NextPVR with one HDPVR works very well. I'm using the IRBlaster that comes with it to change channels on the cable box, and it works fine.

Now, when I setup a second HDPVR, I need to configure NPVR to use a channel changer script for the ACT-ir200L. I can't figure out for the life of me how to get that to work. GBPVR used to have drivers for the IR200L, but not NPRV.

I search the forums and the internet, and couldn't find a method to drive the IR200L. I'll admit that my programming skills are not remotely good enough to write my own.

Anybody knows how to do this?

NOTE: This is only of use to users of Alan Birtles XMLTV GUI program and will not work with the xmltv files of other grabbers.

BACKGROUND:

Radio Times have handed over the generation of their TV listings files to MetaBroadcast. One side-effect (possibly the only one so far) is that films are now categorised by genre (e.g., Comedy, Drama etc) rather than 'Film'.

This is a command-line utility which will process the XMLTV data file generated by Alan Birtles' XMLTV GUI utility to rewrite the <category> element to show as 'Film'. It will also rewrite the <title> category prefixing "Film:" if you have this setting enabled in your XMLTV GUI 'PrgDets' post-processer preferences.

USAGE:

Extract the RT_FilmFix .exe and .pdb files to a location of your choice. Extract the channels.dat file to the XMLTV GUI installation folder.

To run, use the following command-line...

I've been using GBPVR for years now and it has been working so well that I hadn't bothered to look into NextPVR much. I finally decided that perhaps I was missing out on the exciting new work and started doing some testing of NextPVR. My main issue is with configuring the capture and EPG source. My card is listed and if I choose live TV, I can see and hear a channel. Under GBPVR it seemed fairly intuitive for my setup; my cable company's set top box broadcasts three streams which are found on channels 10, 23, and 39. All the channel changing is handled by the STB and GBPVR controls it with a MCE IR blaster thing. That being said, if I scan for channels under NVPR with my capture device those are the only three channels found. How do I get my entire channel line up set? I use schedule direct for my EPG source. I searched the forums quite a bit, but I'm probably not using the right search criteria. Thanks.
