  Scheduling File Conversion
Posted by: taz - 2011-12-19, 02:19 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (7)

I recently rebuilt my HTPC and finally made the switch to NPVR from GBPVR (if it aint broke, don't fix it). If memory serves me correctly I could schedule the file conversions (for an ipod) of anything that recorded that day to run in the middle of the night so nobody would be using the PC at the same time. I do not see this option in NPVR. I did quite a bit of searching and it seems all the file conversions are done usint the PostProcessing.bat file. I can do this but I prefer it to run in the middle of the night. Did I miss something or is this no longer a feature (or is my memory of GBVPR incorrect)?

Thank you.

Taz

jpgs left behind when episode deleted
Posted by: smajor - 2011-12-18, 08:31 PM - Forum: TV Listings - Replies (7)

I was going through my recordings directory and noticed that several directories were empty except for jpg files left behind from various episodes of recorded tv shows as well as a few folder.jpg files (one in each directory). They all appeared to be the episode images as linked from TheTVDB.com.

Also, they were directories with no current recordings in them. When the last episode in a series is deleted, shouldn't the directory itself be deleted too?

We use TV Recordings exclusively with Recordings disabled in the plugins screen.

  NetworkRecorder Setup Steps
Posted by: mvallevand - 2011-12-18, 07:52 PM - Forum: Add-ons (3rd party plugins, utilities and skins) - Replies (1)

User dljones8053 contributed a nice pdf file showing in simple steps how to configure SageDCT and NetworkRecorder for use with the digital tuners that SageDCT supports (Ceton's, HDHR Prime, and Hauppauge DCR).

The file is available via the wiki, the direct link is

  Only Recording For 1:57?
Posted by: BTJustice - 2011-12-18, 06:47 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (12)

I recently had to reinstall Windows 7 64-bit and NPVR. I had a few recordings scheduled while I slept. All of them ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour only recorded for 1 minute and 57 seconds. I looked through the log files but none have the date and time the recordings happened. Any ideas why that happened?

It is not there?
Where is it hiding?

Its been a long long time since I played a dvd, the last time with gbpvr.

I'm getting "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error.
I've looked at my settings but can't see anything obviously wrong.
DVD's play ok in wmp.

  Trying to set up EPG
Posted by: dadspet - 2011-12-18, 04:41 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (6)

Not sure if in in the right forum?

I've been trying to get a tv listing for my location without too much luck. I only get the programs for about 6 of the 48 channels detected? I believe they were found with EPG source of DVB/ATSC EPG. I've been trying to set up the source as XMLTV or Schedules direct (I signed up for the 7 day trial ok) but it apear as if i need a Grabber for Canada and United States tv_grab_na_dd, tv_grab_na and neither of them were included in the xmltv download and I can't find out where to get them from? (I'm using W7)

Also the channels that are found are all different then the channels I have on my TV or TIVO. Example > 153 unknown 66.9

I got a feeling I will have a few more questions before I get the TV Guide to a usable state.

RT_FilmFix - temporary fix up for Radio Times XMLTV users
Posted by: bgowland - 2011-12-18, 02:35 AM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (12)

I've moved this over to the Add-ons forum rather than have it clutter the Community Announcements.

Please see [URL="http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?51263-RT_FilmFix-v1.0-temporary-fix-up-for-Radio-Times-XMLTV-users&p=425677#post425677"]RT_FilmFix v1.0 - temporary fix up for Radio Times XMLTV users

I've update things to include better error handling, prefixing the title with 'Film:' and proper use of alternate XMLTV GUI configurations.

Cheers,
Brian

Recordings missing after switching hard drive
Posted by: tegat - 2011-12-18, 02:35 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

I was running GBPVR 1.3.11 (yeah I know it's old but once I have something working well I usually leave well enough alone). All my directories (recordings, live tv, video library, etc) are on a separate media drive from the OS drive where GBPVR is installled. I stopped GBPVR (including recording service) copied all data from old media drive to new media drive, removed old media drive, renamed new media drive to letter of old drive. Now when I start GBPVR, my recording list is empty but they exist on the new drive at the same location. I can see the video library files, etc. from within GBPVR so it's just the recordings that's the problem.

How can I get GBPVR to recognize the recordings again? I need to export the recordings so I can import them into nextpvr since GBPVR is no longer supported.
