Time to time it happens that the Recording Srvice hangs so my wife and son miss their preferite shows (belive me this is a big trouble for a poor man like me :p).
Thes are my Logs. I do hope you can suggest ma a sulution.
I'm running the old PVRX2 version because I exclusively view via my 3 MVPs and love Comskip. I'd like to add a fourth MediaMVP, but can't find a five LAN port router (4 for the MVPs and one for the PC). Has anyone else been able to do this?
I now have a 4 way diseq switch with D1/C1/D2 on it.
The issue I have is that when i try to view a channel on D2 (port 3) it just sits there with blank screen (for as long as im prepared to wait) - however if I then enter another channel number on D2, it then springs into life and its fine from then on. This does not happen for any channels on D1 (port1) or C1 (port2).
I remember in the GB-PVR days i had to change a setting in config.xml - that was something to the effect of submit tuning command twice for recording. Im pretty sure if that command was still around in NPVR that might solve my issue.
I guess first question - is that command still valid for NPVR? and secondly, if it is - what is the exact syntax.
I searched for any info on NEWA being able to use Comskip on playback but the results were four years old and inconclusive.
So,,, I ask,,, If Nextpvr can use comskip for playback of recordings is it possible for NEWA to do the same? I realize that NEWA uses VLC and it may be dependant on VLC reading and implementing the *.edl but the savings on file size (17% reduction) and time (manually FF) would be a great advantage.
Unless the folks at VLC do not the see any legal need to skip/remove a segment from a file?
re-Barr Wrote:For those of you that have such lovely experiences with your PCH can you tell me how you have the mvpmcx2 installed please? I have it installed on the npvr server and have just had a terrible time getting it to work right. the PCH has such low WAF that she won't use it anymore. I have wondered if the usb stick would make things any better.
Can you give an example of what you mean? Is the problem simply finding the program or loading mvpmcx2 or problems in use. The location on a share, an internal drive or USB won't make any major difference on actual use. On connecting you might have a problem if you don't have a fixe IP for the server, or if there is problem resolving your Windows share name, and you would resolve this by editing the name on the PC to use the IP instead of \\SERVER\mvpmc notation. Firewalls also get in the way, but that will impact playback too.
As part of the recent relaunch of RadioTimes.com, RadioTimes have handed over responsibility for the maintenance and support of the feed used by tv_grab_uk_rt to us here at MetaBroadcast. This switchover has already happened, so the feed is now being generated by us.
Chris from RadioTimes sent a message to the list that doesn't appear to have made it through, so I thought I'd send a followup to introduce ourselves and make sure everyone is aware of the changes.
The RadioTimes have posted a blog post about the changes here:
Please do let us know if you spot any issues with the feed or you have any questions or comments. We're excited to be getting involved with the communities who use this data and would love your help in further improving it over the coming months.
If you'd like to work with us on improving the feed, please get in touch on the discussion group for Atlas, our global index of video and audio data. Atlas is an open source project and weâd love you to contribute, be it ideas or code. The group is also the best place to report any problems with the feed. We hope there wonât be any, but itâs good to have a way to let us know how youâre getting along.
I'm getting only 4 out of the 5 ATSC channels in my area.
The log files looks like it see's channel 27(the one I'm missing), but that's it.
I'v applied the 2.2.6 final patch, but no success.
Attached is the log file, any help would be much appreciated.
I thought I'd post a small update to MB4 since I am moving to a newer version with a database that will not be compatible with the current
* Show music timeline (skinnable)
* Navigate in music by clicking on the timeline with the mouse
* Navigate music +/- 30 seconds use FF/RW (PC only)
* Improved support for selecting with the mouse
* Few bug fixes,
- random by album wouldn't work when album had an apostrophe
- lazy screen write could cause errors for fast selection
- possible Plex plugin Interfaces.dll compatibility issues.
