At my PC a double-click on NTray brings up the 'Device Status' but I have to right-click and select 'Start N-PVR'.

I rarely have a reason to look at the Device Status and rather than right-click and select to fire up NextPVR, it would be nice if there was an option to set a default action for double-click for NTray.

Tonight I had left npvr on the Recordings (What's New) screen for a couple of hours. When I look in the mvp.log (and mvp.log.1), I noticed that every 2 minutes it is reporting the following:

So now I've got the EGreat M34A working well with NPVR. Any media stored locally on the server such as recordings and videos is visible and playable through NPVR on the EGreat. But I've also got mapped drives and //otherserver/media folders setup through the NPVR server configuration screen for things such as MP3s and Pictures. These I have no problems accessing using the server, but through NPVR on the EGreat... no luck. I'm sure there's some simple configuration setting or.xml file I need to edit somewhere, but I don't know what. Any help appreciated.

Is the "built-in" player WMP or something else?

If I set up a recurring program to "Record Season" and then later try to "Update" the recurring settings for that show, it appears to have switched to a daily recording (now displays "Daily, 8-9PM", for example). Additionally, if I try the right/left arrows it doesn't change?

I just received my HDHOMERUN device Eurpoean version to be used in Poland. Installed HDHOMERUN software, eight channels have been detected by HDHOMERUN setup and I can view them with HDHOMERUN QuickTV. Signal strength, quality etc. are sufficient to view TV, checked with HDHOMERUN GUI.

In nPVR (same think with an older version GBPVR) When I go to setup->Devices - I see the two tuners (actually four, since I also have DVB-C tuners), but when I select the DVB-T tuner, click on Device Setup -> Scan - after lengthy scanning process no channels are found. My Country (Poland) is not on the Country list, but I leave that field on : All Countries. Scan Offsets does not help either.

NextPVR and NRecord are added to the firewall exception list.

Could you help me what I am doing wrong?

Does anyone know the options you can use with NPVRServiceControl.exe? I want to stop and start the service at 3am every day in case it messes up as I came back from a trip and discovered my PC hadn't shutdown or recorded anything in 3 days as the service had locked up! I have no anti-virus or firewall running and it's on Windows XP SP3. The machine is JUST used for NPVR so I don't care about security on it!

I can stop the service by just running it and start it again, but the problem is that it brings up a helpful dialog box telling me it has stopped the service. Is there a "silent" option? Otherwise, my only other options is to use taskill on it (a horrible way of doing things). It's obviously not a massive problem, but I was hoping there was already an easy solution. I already tried running it in the command-prompt with /? and help as options.

A thing I miss from GBPVR is the inclusion of the current time when you pause or press the blue button while playing a recording/video etc. It was really useful to use this to find the current time from a single button press and now in NPVR it only seems to be shown on the main menu. Any way it can be added back in please.

I'm using these remote commands (Hauppauge 45 button, XP) to control volume with the VolumeOSD plugin for NPVR:

VOLUP={app(0xa0000)}
VOLDOWN={app(0x90000)}

Does the plugin respond to any other commands for VOLUP or VOLDOWN?

I was interested in suppressing the global date time display during the pictures side show mode. The only reason I ask is because I have a top divider line that I use on all screens but don't want the divider line to appear when you press F1 for the Guide during live TV mode. Adding the divider line to the global date time element solves that problem but creates another with the pictures slide show.
