When I'm watching the recordings with NPVR I get a lot of pixelations. I'm using the 2.1.5 version and I've updated my codecs with the latest Windows 7 Codec Pack. Also I've chosen the Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder as my codec. I tried watching the ts-files with VLC. Here there was no pixelation but instead I got a lot of horizontal lines. Then I tried using Windows Media Player and got a perfect picture!

How can I get a better picture using NPVR and VLC?

The timebar in the OSD for live TV seems to be displaying unexpected info. The right side shows the current time instead of the time the program should be ending and the left side either shows "-0:00" or some negative number? Also, the position/progress bar is mostly filled and I'm not really sure what it is showing. Thanks for any help.

Is there a way to disable the built-in NPVR response to an MCE remote such that I can customize the commands via an external program like Eventghost? I see nothing pertaining to remote control configuration in the Settings or the configuration file.

I am playing around with adding a tuner plugin and I have decided importing from the NShared.ImportHDPVRChannelsForm will do exactly what I want for importing and enabling channels. I can load the form with XML using the base case and I can override the OnClose event to read the check items, but I can't find anyway to use the OK or Cancel buttons. Is there any way I can inherit this form and have those buttons enabled?

I am playing with writing a tuner plugin for NPVR and for test purposes (and also for fun) I tried to use an old "Menten Holdings" command line program I first used years ago (2005) called GBRecord. I was extremely happy to see that just by updating direct.ini it works with my HVR 1600 on analog on Vista.

ok so i have winXP, geforce 7600 GT OC and EVR is the only playback mode that works, everything else has tearing or other issues. it used to work perfectly now it has a weird issue(see pic) it only plays in a Little box at the top left. but if i right click on the screen for the menu (has settings, channels etc on it) then the whole screen shows one frame fullscreen and that frame stay there, then goes back to playing the miniaturized video. same thing in live tv.

i also tried playing a video from before this issue came up (that worked perfectly before) and it still happens. video plays fine in VLC

i havent changed any NPVR settings since it last worked for sure and i dont think i changed any vital windows setting either. no system updates(drivers etc). none of the other video mode have this issue, but they have the issues they've always had (tearing etc)

i guess i ll just post pics of all the video modes.
first pic is EVR
second VMR9FSE(VMR9Custom has same issue). VMR9FSE always had the tearing issue you can see in the pic, and still works fine in fullscreen (besides tearing still) even when now EVR deosnt.
3rd is VMR9 imagine a video playing with that artifact on the right on top and flickering all the time.
4th is VMR7 dimmed with a artifact on the right. screen shot didnt get the whole artifact, really twice as big.
Overlay no pic, i dont know how to describe it. its like static with a little picture mixed in.

so either can you help me get rid of the tearing in VMR9FSE or fix EVR fullscreen issues.

I am new user, I just downloaded the NextPVR and I got speechless when
I saw what NextPVR can do!!! But, I have a problem here...
I tried to setup two different TV adapters, one USB and one PCI. I have the
same problem in both of them. I get audio, I get no video!!! Does anybody
knows what it would be?

My recordings on the server have been pretty rock solid since 2.15.

Twice now since doing the R1 patches, I've found one of the HD-PVRs stuck "on", the clients think it is free, but the recording service thinks it's still recording something from hours before.

In this case, my wife set it to record "The Cabin" which was, I think, 2 hours. By the time I noticed the above, it had recorded for 10 hours straight and just shy of a 40GB file. Impressive!

Restarting the recording service frees it up. Logs attached.
