  Update EPG Issue
Posted by: dean70 - 2010-11-13, 05:43 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have the current version of GB-PVR (v1.4.7) and have issues with the Update EPG function. The installation MSI keeps attempting to repair (and fails) multiple times during an Update EPG.

If I cancel the UAC prompt each time, the EPG Update completes successfully, however this causes issues with the scheduled auto EPG update task that runs overnight.

System is Win7 64bit with Hauppauge 2200 tuner. I have tried completly uninstalling GB-PVR and reinstalled again, but still having same issue. Any ideas?

  How to force HDMI output
Posted by: peterh - 2010-11-12, 11:01 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (8)

I have a GForce 7600 graphics card connected to TV through HDMI. If the NPVR machine rebooots while TV is switched off the output reverts to VGA so that when I switch on the TV there is a black display. Can I somehow force the output even if no display is detected on reboot?

Thanks

  ISOs and DVD navigator
Posted by: mila06 - 2010-11-12, 08:12 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (9)

Hi

I am on 1.5.33 with all patches, and i'm having a problem when playing dvd's from ISO.
It mounts ok, and the dvd starts but it doesn't get any longer than the dvd-menu, and the menu is not "alive". Only thing i can do is hit back/Esc and get back to nPVR. It seems to me that it might have something to do with the dvd navigator.....

I don't see this when playing dvds from folders:confused:

Anyone else see this?

Crash (bug) with manual recordings popup when using advanced rules
Posted by: tmrt - 2010-11-12, 07:54 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

Whenever I set up a manual recording using advanced rules and I want to edit it afterwards by pressing the Update button NPVR crashes. There is nothing in the logs and changing the skin back to the default one does not cure the problem.

Can't set recordings in TV Listings
Posted by: pcostanza - 2010-11-12, 03:47 AM - Forum: TV Listings - Replies (5)

Tonite was the first time I tried to set a recurring recording within TV Listings. I simply can't. It allows me to tell it to record but it never shows the red recording icon. It shows up under Recurring but not Pending and never shows it set to record like those set using the standard guide.

Further, in Recurring under the TV Listings, it shows as set for a Thursday at 1am while the default Recordings tab shows it set to record on the correct date and time.
I admit, I have to spend more time on this to see if this holds.

Sudden Error Message when accessing gbpvr web interface
Posted by: classpro - 2010-11-11, 11:59 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

All of a sudden today I am unable to access the web interface for GBPVR. I've tried rebooting the server multiple times. I'm clueless about what's going on. I would really appreciate some help.

Here is the complete message:

  Please help with NPVR NEWA
Posted by: tuckster - 2010-11-11, 08:33 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (3)

I am able to connect via http://localhost:8866, but I am not able to connect over the web from a machine outside my network. I am using the GBPVR's IP address (not the LAN IP address). I am able to successfully ping the IP address from a remote machine using a command prompt in windows. When I try to access NEWA the browser attempts to connect, but eventually times out.

How do I begin to troubleshoot this?

I'm not sure if any logs are helpful in troubleshooting this problem, but I can attach logs if needed.

Here's the setup that I have:

NPVR machine is a XP MCE 2005 machine running NPVR 1.5.33
Router is an old D-link DI 614+ running with wireless disabled
On the LAN I connect to the server using a Popcorn Hour NMT device

Please help me if you can. Thanks.

Hey sub!

It is not THIS big deal, but just want to say that a line like

Code:
<Directory name="Hörspiele">H:\Audio\Hörspiele\</Directory>
won't let NextPVR Recording Service startup (errormessage). I am pretty sure that it's because of the "ö" in this folder.

  TVListings3 No grid
Posted by: roy - 2010-11-11, 02:28 PM - Forum: TV Listings - Replies (18)

Hi Alibert,

Very excited to see TVListings3 for nPVR. This is the plugin that kept me from switching over. However, I load it up, and I get no program grid or description, per the pic attached. All the data shows in TV Guide, and I don't see any errors in the log.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for bringing TVListings to NPVR.
Roy
