I am relatively new (six months) to using firewire tuning and today for whatever reason the command line parameter I had to use changed from "-f -a4 2 {}" to "-f -a0 2 {}" Does this happen often?
This may be a unique device issue, but please help if you can. I've read the posts and tried the different versions of NShared.dll and Unmanaged.dll with no luck. From the logs and other posts, I think my DVico Fusion HD5 USB aka Bluebird, DBA Tuner1, doesn't report it's QAM capabilities correctly. I made an entry (see attached BDA.ini snippit) in GBPVR to recognize it and it's worked great for a long time. I attached NPVR.log, Filtercheck.log, GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log and gbpvr.bda.ini snippit). Thanks in advance if you have a chance to take a look.
Last night I ran out of disk space while it was recording and pvrx2 crashed. Nothing major, it's my own fault for letting the disk fill up. I cleared up a LOT of space (over 100g of old recordings I never bothered to delete) and restarted everything. It appears to be running fine except for one thing.
In the PENDING page under RECORDINGS there are several recordings from yesterday that are in pending, but there are TWO that are in "Recording" and I can't stop them or get rid of them. I've tried canceling them, restarting the recording service, rebooting the machine, etc. Nothing. I can't get rid of any of the ones from yesterday and the two are still in recording state (though they aren't actually recording).
If I look in the logs for the recording service I see the following from earlier this evening when I rebooted the machine.

I'm attaching the logs from the last 24 hours or so. Any ideas?
What exactly do you use the MainConcept (HCW) MPEG Multiplexer-Plus for ?
I got a (AMD) ATI HD 650 that comes with the ATI mux, so I wonder what the mainconcept mux does, that AMD's version can't ?
(Yeah, I know this is for analog only)
It appears that NPVR is not holding the last size and position that it held when it ran. GBPVR used to do this. When I run NPVR I usually have it in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen while I am checking e-mail.....I've noticed I have to always resize and and move NPVR down to that position each time I start it.
I installed my sat dish on Monday, installed N-PVR on Tuesday and fitted two Pinnacle DVB-S 4000i cards on Wednesday - lo & behold it's all working!!
I'm glad to have managed to get my Pinnacle 4000i DVB-S cards working fine having used the latest versions/patches for NPVRSetup, NPVRSTmon & NShared.
I've also got installed a Nova 500 T DVB-T card.
All cards have scanned ok and the DVB-T EPG channels are all populated with show details. This happened automatically which was great.
Some of the DVB-S channels give current & next show details in the EPG but otherwise the EPG is empty. On the "channels - settings" page all DVB-t & DVB-S channels are configured to DVB/ATSC EPG.
I'm not sure what options there are for manual channel mappings like there were in GB-PVR and I do not know what the "bulk map" button does.
Is it possible to obtain my DVB-S EPG details in the same simple way that I can with DVB-T channels?
If not can anyone give me a simple step by step guide as to what I need to do please??
Any help would be much appreciated, sorry to be dim - this is my first excursion into satellite tv.
So, live TV is working, analog and digital tuners are working. Recordings are imported. NPVR is beautiful.
But...
Is there any way to transcode files from TS automatically which will also update the database (I must profess I haven't recorded anything yet)? I know I can do the conversion via batch, but is there an automatic option as in GBPVR?
Is the Daemon Tools option gone (I think I know the answer to this one)?
Thanks for the work Sub. The new improved version feels generally slicker and like a giant step forward.
