Hello!

I have some "problems" with configuring my GB-PVR.
I want to use my HVR-900H, its visible in the "Digital Recording Plugin-Settings" but not in the "Analog Recording Plugin-Setting" dialog.

The problem is that i dont want to use DVB-T i want to use it for normal Cable-TV so the card should be available in the "Analog Recording Plugin-Setting" dialog.

What do i have to do to watch/record analog-TV with my card an GB-PVR?

That device doesn't have an hardware mpeg encoder.
I think you can get it going using the SoftMCE (softPVR?) driver or somethign from hauppauge. (but of course, it will use large cpu time when recording on analog)

You'll have to search the boards to find out about it though.

hmm ok lets see if i'll find an SoftMCE for that "card".

The "funny" thing is that other programms like mediaportal are able to show analog-tv with my hvr-900h. How do they do it? Do they have an software encoder included or something like that?

I think mediaportal will use another software encoder on your system (like included with some dvd authoring programs - cyberlink etc)
