I just upgraded to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and re-installed GBPVR. Windows 7 seems to be a very nice setup for GBPVR. It is very responsive and my CPU usage when playing HD content from mkv files is down around 15%. The video is very smooth. I like it. The upgrade went quite well with only a couple of minor glitches. Hopefully I can get them solved.
My tuners record. My recordings all play. Live video functions as it should. My videos all play.
1) I can't delete any recordings from the recording screen.
2) DVD doesn't function. I think this is just a Navigator/codec issue. I tried both the default codec and Cyberlink that I installed from the K-lite pack. I haven't played with it much yet.
I have noticed that after a while when I am in Net Radio the default screen saver (and song/song title) will give way to just a blank screen. I have disabled all windows power options and screensavers. Is this by design that the screensaver goes for a certail amount of time and then blanks the screen? If so, how would I change this behavior? Thanks in advance for your help!
I am guessing that most people do not watch LiveTV in Time-Shift mode. I am trying, but recording by pressing the Record button on the remote does not give me consistent results. I have two analog tuners. Here is what I have noticed:
#1 (Most common)
At 3:23 I started watching LiveTV on channel 12.
I press the record button and choose watch to the end of the show 4:00.
I return to the menu.
I check the Web and tuner 2 is recording.
I choose LiveTV and then check the Web and turner 2 is live-tv.
I return to the menu.
I check the Web and tuner 2 is sleeping.
I exit and use tray icon to restart the recording server.
Tuner 2 starts recording again.
#2 (Maybe after I reboot)
At 3:40 I started watching LiveTV on channel 14.
I press the record button and choose watch to the end of the show 4:00.
I return to the menu.
I choose LiveTV.
I am prompted to watch the show that is recording or do not watch tv.
I choose do not watch tv.
I choose LiveTV.
I check the Web and tuner 2 is live tv.
I return to the menu.
I exit and use tray icon to restart the recording server.
Tuner 2 starts recording again.
#3 (Only happened once when I was checking tuner status. I would love to figure out how to have this happen all of the time).
Started watching LiveTV.
Press the record button and choose watch to the end of the show.
Return to the menu (because I cannot change channels).
Choose LiveTV.
Now tuner 1 is live-tv and tuner 2 is still recording.
I have attached log files for #1 and #2, but have not reproduced number #3 (but I have seen it work!).

I just received my A-100 this week and I've installed GBPVR (mvmpc) or whatever it's called . I'm pretty much a computer bonehead, but with the dummies guide installation was extremely easy. So easy in fact, that I thought for sure I was missing something. But it just works.
Here are my observations so far:
Menu responses are fairly snappy, a little slower than if I were directly using the server, but not bad.
When watching recorded TV shows sometimes there is no timeline and I am not able to fast forward, rewind or skip. I'm assuming this has to do with the quality of the recording. What's odd is that I made three recordings of the same show (Sesame Street), same channel, same time etc. and 2 were fine, but one was bad.
When I skip forward 30 seconds the display dims momentarily and then returns to full brightness. Is this normal?
I am really looking forward to watching college football this weekend in the living room instead of the garage. Hopefully the .ts files will allow me to time shift.
Thanks to all those who have put so much time and effort into developing this software. I highly recommend this setup to anyone that is considering it.
My problem is that on some channels I get a blank screen instead of Live TV and when I tried a recording it was a zero-byte file.
I could re-create the capture cards but I find it strange that it was working with the same config (and hardware) in Windows XP, and that it's only some channels. WMC on the same machine can play all channels.
Apart from the config.exe one for audio #2 mapings are there any other patches since the release of v1.4.7? I'm sure there was a live tv nativeutilites.dll one but I can't seem to find it now.
