I've posted before about some problems working with TS files but I've been able to work with them more and still am having problems. They play just fine but using 2 versions of Showanalyzer and Videoredo to strip the commercials, I always get a Stream Input error in Videoredo.
I've used TS Doctor to clean up the file but still get the same error. Is there anything special about these files that would cause this? Showanalyzer has worked well with mpeg and dvrms files and it's only the TS files that give me this problem.
I have noticed a problem with GB where the same show is recorded twice if the scheduled start time is changed after the initial request has been entered. This happens when a daily or weekly recording is programmed and the scheduled start time is later changed (usually delayed by 1 or 2 minutes).
GB seems to interpret this as a new recording request and assigns another tuner to the same show. The recording is duplicated even though they are on the same channel in the same general time slot.
This results in a tuner being tied up needlessly. In some cases this causes a conflict with another program and results in a lost recording. I am using version 1.47, but I have noticed this with previous versions. It just seems to be happening more frequently now in my area.
Is there a way to prevent navigation backwards? In other words if it's 3pm you just want people to be able to navigate forward and not backwards to say 2pm.
Also I find that if you're watching a show for say an hour. Then after it finishes you go back to the TV Guide. Instead of it going to the current time slot it stays where you left of.
I already have an HVR2200, however would like one more dvb-t card now Prime is on our Freeview, could anyone tell me if this card would be ok as it is a very good price, thanks http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing....=247568685
I removed a folder from the collection of Directories... but some of the files in there are still showing up in Music Plugin. (I don't want my ringtone folder showing up...)
Scanning doesn't seem to remove them. Can I reset the database somehow?
If you use HDMI, and your LCD/TV is energystar compliant (or for some other reasons...) it turns off the HDMI port when you change inputs away from your media box (for me a shuttle running GBPVR under XP, intel video.
Unless you change the default xp sound profile, you can actually hear the XP "unload device" sound a few seconds after changing the input on the TV.
That's all good, but the problem is when switching back to the gbpvr input. What happens is the device comes back on, but for whatever reason GBPVR does not repaint the screen... it's just black.
Edit: The same behavior happens if you power off the LCD/TV for a few seconds or more. When you turn it back on, even if it is on the right input, it stays blank.
The only way to get the display back is to exit to the desktop. As soon as I hit the desktop, the display comes on. I have "solved" this for now by mapping the hauppauge power button to an "exit foreground app;wait 1 second; start pvrx2" action. That does it, but its kinda a pain in the rear...
I'm thinking there is some low level system event gbpvr can register for, and then there is something it can do to re-init the display... but maybe not? Windows does something to re-enable the screen when you hit the desktop, so it must be possible...
If gbpvr could handle things correctly that would be sweet.
I recently had to move to IR blasting a STB for my recording, Comcast dropped analog broadcasting. It seemed to go well but I have (at least) 1 problem. To recap,
1) I deleted 2 of my 3 recording sources, the 2250 I had, leaving the PVr150
2) I hooked up the STB to the PVR150 and got Hip working and hipsend at the command line
3) I tested GB-PVR with the following results
Watching old recordings works as it always did
in LiveTV, everything works and I can change channels by pressing the chan up/down keys. However, if I press the green button (to bring up a channel menu) and select a channel, the screen goes black and I have to reboot the MVP. Similarly if I select a show from the main menu item TV guide and press "Watch" I get a black screen. In the latter 2 cases the STB channel is correctly changed, what is failing is the transmission to the MVP. I'm attaching logs and am grateful for any help/advice. Meanwhile I am testing a recording to see if that works as expected.
THanks!
