  Yellow bar in Statistics?

Is that just to denote space taken up by other NON-GBPVR files?

Need help working out what server filter is rejecting GBPVR forum replies
Posted by: jksmurf - 2009-07-18, 12:46 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (10)

Hi,

I use a website to route forum messages to my home email address, and the website admin has added a bunch of filters, one of which has recently caused me to NOT receive GBPVR forum emails, even though I can see the message on that webmail server.

I have also added a bunch of my own (I have rights to do this) but I cannot for the life of me work out WHICH filter is blocking GBPVR emails.

Is there a program out there which would help me run the email through the filter list (I can export the list but it uses some funny (regex?) codes to denote bounce, delete, forward etc.

Failing this, would some kind soul be able to have a quick look at the two example messages attached, and the filter list, also attached? Need only look at the shorter list prefixed with B, the 2: series are delete, so I wouldn't have seen the message at all.

Thanks!

k.

  AFN Europe EPG
Posted by: kcjeeves - 2009-07-17, 11:26 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Anyone know how to get the EPG for AFN Europe. I'm in italy, got the ZAP2IT listing for manheim germany, which has most but not all the channels, but they are all on the wrong channel numbers. I know I can offset the time of the EPG to match my time, but how do you change the channel numbers within the EPG and still be able to schedule recordings of the correct channel.

TKS,

KC

  card reader

Hey, I was given this card reader.
Would it be usable with multidec plugins within GBPVR?

Are they usable with as DVB-S Card?

  rs-232 channel changer
Posted by: kcjeeves - 2009-07-17, 08:53 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Just curious here...I have a PVR 250, no ir blaster that I'm aware of...I also have a Scientific Atlanta d-9834 satellite box, AFN/AFRTs. 2 things I was wondering if anyone knew.

1 - The Satellite box has a rs-232 port in the back, I've read that some STBs can be controlled via serial straight from the PC, anyone know if this is possible, just bypass the the blaster all together, or any DIY rs-232 ir blasters plans.

2 - This satellite box also has a rj-45 in the back. States in the manual about multi-casting over IP of something. Anyway to integrate that into GBpvr?

thanks..

  Ultra 2: online check fails
Posted by: zehd - 2009-07-17, 05:23 PM - Forum: ZTools and UltraXMLTV - No Replies

Last week I rebuilt my dev machine and then tested last release of Ultra 2. It kept failing and saying that both epgtools and theTVdb were offline.

I would click test over and over and then something clicked and it started working.

Because I new that my net connection was on, and working, I just set the 'Online Check' to 0 ms and clicked 'set'

I didn't have a problem after that.

The online check was designed when the TVdb was flaking out and also for dial up users. I've checked the code, (which is quite simple routine actually) and I can't see why it acts up, similar to how TomR reported a couple of months back.

For a future build I will make 0 ms the default (which actually disables the checks altogether). But I don't believe this is significant enough to release a new build now...

  WizImageGrabber: wishlist
Posted by: scb147 - 2009-07-17, 04:15 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (9)

Couple requests for WizImageGrabber.

1. Can we have the ability to enable/disable specific resources it uses to pull the images from?

2. Can we reorder the order in which the resources check for files.

Mainly because I find that "EP Guide" gives me the best image for a TV series/show, but not any for a movie, etc. the IMDB works best for movies, but unfortunately, I get junk images from IMDB for TV series/shows.

This would give me more flexibility to get the images I want.

Thanks!

  stupid question #1...
Posted by: Caveman - 2009-07-17, 04:10 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I am trying to figure out how to do some really basic things.
(I am converting from Myth)

I appologize if this question has been asked & answered already but I couldn't find the answer in the wiki or the forums using search.

with Myth, I was able to record a show like "South Park" and keep all NEW episodes, and then setup another recording to keep only 10 reruns.

with GBPVR, i can't seem to tell that any distinction is made at all between NEW and RERUN shows. (I have always used schedules direct).

How do I tell the program to record ONLY new shows?

thanks much!

Send Channel change before starting recording
Posted by: bogyver - 2009-07-17, 01:22 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

I use the HD-PVR to record off a dish network box and I have noticed that at the beging of the recording it freezes and jumps a bit during the channel change, also when watching the HD-PVR the recording light turns on and off when the channel change occurs. I am using the optical on my dish box and I have noticed looking at the comskip logs that there are a bunch of audio errors at the begining of the file, in addition I have noticed that the dish box on my surround sound receiver also loses the audio signal during channel changes so I am sure its the audio that is the cause of symptoms.
So now to my request, is it possible to have channel changes happen before the recording starts by about 10 to 15 seconds to avoid this problem, I think it might be causing comskip issues since comskip isn't working at for recording off the HD-PVR.
Thanks

Ability to scan for 'part-time' channels
Posted by: McBainUK - 2009-07-17, 07:31 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (4)

UK Freeview has a number of channels that are only broadcasting at certain times of the day. Currently you need to run a scan during the broadcast time-slot in order to add these channels to GB-PVR. This can take a few days, especially if you have multiple tuners. It would be great if GB-PVR could pick up these channels while scanning like the Freeview STBs do.

Disclaimer: wish made with no idea of the work involved in adding this functionality Smile
