I've got a Hauppauge HVR-1250 recorder, but while I'm away at school they only offer analog channels which sucks. I've read through countless other forum posts and haven't found any yet to solve my issue. Problem:
LiveTV has a picture and sound only if deinterlace is off and recording doesn't seem to do anything either. I've installed SoftMCE, and I've properly setup xmltv to show programming schedule.
Any ideas to fix at least the recording feature?
I am experiencing a problem with the quality in GB-PVR.
I recently got cable and before that I had antenna
anyways, the quality in GB looks like the quality I had with Antenna.
The cable is crystal clear on the TV and in Haupague's TV app. so I can only assume there is a problem in GB related to my previous service?
Some details, I have a haupague 150
I have my quality set in Setup to High.
I can't see live Tv anymore but I can see recordings but there is an existing post about that, that I have yet to test.
Fellow GBPVR'ers
i had my whole system working with comcast and now i switched to fios and i cant get it to work.
i have happauge pvr 1600.
With comcast i took the coax from the wall and plugged it into my computer. With fios they had me get a digital converter box (i believe). So i have coax in and coax out to my computer and two audio cable outlets.
I tried plugging the cable into my computer like i would normally do and run config and update my epg but every time i try i get an error. Is there something i am doing wrong?
I bought the Aver Volar Max USB and I'm very happy with the quality of it's abilities. However I'm not too impressed with the software as most anyone else is.
I have a desktop with a Vixs PureTV tuner, and GBPVR (Amongst other programs) running on it. My Home PC is not connected to the internet, so Media Center is a no go (It won't find stations without consulting with the internet first) and Sage TV locks up when accessing the tuner sometimes. GBPVR works great with that tuner (But doesn't pull the EPG over the air for some reason) and doesn't recognize the radio tuner built into the Vixs, Anyways, I can watch TV on that machine but can't record unless I know exactly what to record without depending on the guide.
So my solution was to buy another tuner. Well I got the Volar Max because I also wanted to utilize my Laptop as a portable and 2nd PVR possibly. Well I tried to get GBPVR to recognize the VOlar on the Desktop first, and kept getting BSOD on initializing during Mapping EPG Channels. So I figured I'd try on the laptop. Same thing... Here's a quick rundown on specs.
Desktop:
Windows Vista Home Prem x32
3gb (Really 4gb)
Duo 2.33ghz
Vixs PureTV
EVGA G-Force 8700GTS (Overclocked)
Laptop
HP DV6 1030US
Windows Vista Home Prem x64
4gb (Yay 64 bit!!)
Duo 2.0ghz
The Volar does work fine, I've tested it with Media Center on the Laptop (Since I can bring it to work and try it) and with the Avermedia software on BOTH machines. But as soon as I go to add it to GBPVR on both machines, the tuner is recognized for what it is, but as soon as I do the channel scan, POOF... BSOD.
I tried modding the bda.ini according to a past post, and that hasn't helped. I'm trying to tune OTA ATSC. With my Desktop configuration and 2 other TV Tuner boxes (The set top OTA Boxes) I get just about 28 channels, so it's very much worth it to me to get this to work.
Any advice or help would be appreciated! And if you want the log attached, please tell me where to find it in the program dir please. I'm not a complete n00b, but I'm not a software genius lol.
well i'm sick of my drobo (its a piece of crap, lots of issues, and i cant depend on it to keep my data secure), so can anyone recommend something secure (completely worry free that just works, and i dont need to worry about a drive dying).
i would like raid 5 or raid 6, and money isnt that big of a deal (i dont mind spending a bit to keep it secure), i have lots of data 4TB atm, but will likely increase that over the years, so need something that can grow.
Hello, we have been having a play with GBPVR in our school with the potential of replacing our DVD recorder. Is it possible to categorise our recordings ie, put them in different folders other then the default recordings folder etc for example:
Some on the NMT forums has started work on an Aeon skin for GB-PVR http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=24188 He has created a zip and he has asked for help a couple of questions. If anyone who knows skins wants to reply either post on the NMT forum, or post here and I will link back.
I am currently having issues displaying video under LiveTV for many of my channels. Audio works, they record just fine, and I can play them back under Alshow, but cannot view them live or while they are recording. The few channels that do show up are the PBS stations that typically broadcast a lower quality picture.
I have had everything working before on this same box, full LiveTV on every channel and the ability to record and start watching the recording at the same time. Unfortunately, I ended up rebuilding the machine after SP3 installed a bad update for the Intel P4 3.0G processor and no longer have a copy of the good installation that was working.
Attached is a copy of the logs. Channel 59.1 and 59.3 work fine, Channel 4.1 doesn't. I am using a KWorld ATSC-110 tuner card. I have a friend who is having the same issue, so any help would be great. Thanks.
