On the System screen I have this pie chart indicating that I have no disk space. It is labeled Free Disk Space 0.00 GB, Total Disk Space 0.00 GB.

Of course I have plenty of disk space left, about 100 GB free of a 160 GB drive and the program has not had any problems running but the misleading screen bugs me.

Any ideas? Could it be because my copy of WME has a c:\Programs directory instead of c:\Program Files directory?

I recently purchased a VisionTek TV Wonder HD 650 PCI. I installed the card in my new system, booted to Windows 7 and installed the ATI Catalyst software (drivers and ATI-MediaCenter). Using the ATI Media Center I then tried scanning for channels. The results was either no channels detected or static with no sound. I tried scanning with the cable connected to both the ATSC and NTSC connectors. I repeated this using Windows Media Center with the same results. I have an XP system (PIII 933 MHZ, 512 RAM, Radeon 7500, ATI TV Wonder analog tuner). I have the most basic cable offered though Comcast (called Basic 1? - limited to mostly broadcast channels). On my XP system I have been recording TV programs off and on since 2004. The TV wonder card on my XP system uses the WDM Capture driver for the Bt8xx chipsets and sees the cable channel fine in WinDVR. Why doesn't my new card on my new system find any channels when scanned? I saw in another thread that the Vista drivers don't work. The suggestion in that thread was to use the XP drivers. I am assuming this is a driver issue. I am using these media center programs to check the cable signal before trying out GB-PVR. Can anyone advise?

I have Live Preview mode enabled on my Vista machine with single tuner. As soon as press 'record' I get a black screen. The navigation appears if I move the mouse about and the .TS stream is created fine in the temp directory.

Is this by design? Or should I be seeing the recorded stream playing back (which is what I would expect)? I have tried different video renderers and also different decoders and they all do the same thing.

I went from a Hauppage 350 to the 2250. Went from analog to digital. Now I am seeing that my recording size has ~900k for a 1/2 hr show to ~3.4gig. Previously you could choose a lower quality (smaller) file, is there a way that can be done with the digital? or is it again time to buy a bigger HD.

I'm pretty sure this was asked before, but I couldn't find the post, so it's probably been a while.

In both the Video Library and Music Library, I think the appearance would be enhanced by the ability to display filenames without the extension.

I only ask because I think it would be fairly easy to implement. It's been over a year sinced I've worked in .net, but I seem to remember (System.IO.Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension) or something similar.

I would like to drop the ability to use the CS3 version of the SkinPlugin together with the latest CS4 version, with a suitable note on the CS wiki page when we go public.

With the current build it's possible but it's a bit of a hack, and it's the root cause of mvallevand's config.xml corruption reported here and here.

I have a Philips Magnavox 29" (I think) TV, somebody gave us. Beggars can't be choosers.

I've been dealing with the whole Purple and/or Green blotch issue, because it isn't there all the time... waiting till I can afford what I want... a 42" or better flatscreen.

I've also been dealing with another issue... and this one is just plain stupid.

Switching to VCR/Aux.

Here's the process...
Channel down below channel 2.

Now, that's not hard for a person to do... you can even go directly to channel 2 and then hit channel down.

But the problem? Try telling the procedure to my new Logitech Harmony remote.

I can tell it to press 2 then channel down... but the tv is waiting for 02 or 2 seconds... so sometimes, it channels down from whatever channel you're on.

This makes 1 step activity programming nearly impossible.

The original remote has a TV/VCR button that is SUPPOSED to switch directly to VCR/Aux... but does it? NOOOO!

3 times in the manual it says 'Tip: Use the TV/VCR button to go directly to the VCR/Aux inputs.'

ARRRGGGG

Plus I had another failed recording for my wife last night. It only recorded the first half of The Office.

Not a GBPVR problem but a hardware issue for a common setup in this community.

I have a Gigabyte MA78GM-S2HP motherboard with RealTek ALC889 audio on board. I connect to my AV receiver through optical SPDIF. It works well though there are a couple annoyances.

First to prevent the sound card from resampling all sound to 48 kHz I had to install an ancient driver (ver 1.37) as newer resamples. My concern with using old drivers is that a newer driver may address the second concern.

The second issue, and the one that bothers me most, is the card seems to send a "pulse" to the receiver at system startup (maybe at some application start up?) resulting in a pop from my speakers that makes me nervous for the speakers' health if I ever leave the volume high. My previous setup used coaxial SPDIF and did not have this problem. I'd have thought coax would be more likely to have this issue because there is an electrical connection which there isn't with optical.

Has anyone out there seen this and solved it?

When I try to play a DVD, it loads the menus but I don't see the cursor that selects individual items and so cannot play the DVD. GBPVR is set to use DVD Navigator. I see a blank screen if I try to use the Cyberlink Navigator.

This DVD plays fine with PowerDVD.
