I'm running GBPVR 1.3.7 and I just installed a Hauppauge HVR-2250. The software detects it just fine. Is there anything I have to do to record 2 analog programs at the same time? I setup a once daily recurring recording from 11:35 - 12:35 and have an overlap recording from 12:05-12:35. GBPVR shows the second recording all as conflicts and it does not record.
I have attached my log directory if need. I've been running GBPVR for about a year but the dual recordings is as of this month.
I have been following this project closely in the background and have seen how it has progressed. I have also been keeping an eye on the MediaPortal project and in my honest opinion, your software seems to be leaps and bounds ahead of them and I will be wanting to use it in the near future when I move away from Media Center 2005 completely. I am using MediaPortal at present but your project is looking so much better so I want to jump ship so to speak.
Now one of the things that I have noticed on your project is that you are using Xmltv to get the epg data to the screen (i think thats correct). Now over of the MediaPortal project, they seem to have finally moved away from this and a guy by the name of DJBlu has been working on an alternative way of getting the listings to the EPG for users of SKY & Freesat and it seems to be working very well. As I understand it, SKY broadcast the data for the EPG, hidden inside the background music and DJBlu has worked on a way to extract this data and import it into an sql database I believe and from this database they are able to get the listings to the screen by means of a modified TsWriter.
To bring your project along is there anyway a similar thing could be done as I think it would make getting EPG listing far far easier for your users. I have attached the latest TsWriter file that the MediaPortal project seems to be using for you to have a look at. It might also pay for you to check out the following forum as there is loads of info there on this : http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/develo...epg-43261/
I thank you for the work you are doing on this project and hope that with ideas like this, we can make it the ultimate pvr software.
I am trying to use GBPVR Config >> Plugins >> XRECORD >> Settings >> Menu Options to select which items appear in the XRECORD Menu. I have deselected all except the "Scheduler" but the XRECORD Menu does not change in PVRX2. I am using v0.50 of the XRECORD plugin and GBPVR v1.3.7. Has anyone tried this with v1.3.7 ? Does it work for you ?
Thought I would share a discovery wuth you all. I love GB-PVR and the implementation with PCH is fantastic. But I also have a PS3 which is not catered for with GB-PVR, but I'd still like to use it for video playback.
I've read the forums and the the normal approach seems to be to use TVersity. However I spent days trying to get this to work and transcode without any joy. I turned to Vista MediaPlayer which the PS3 could see but refused to play the MP4 files.
I was doing some browsing at work yesterday and as so often happens disvovered another product which I installed last night. I am glad to report it works straight away without any problems, better still it will transcode my existing MKV files so I don't have to rip to MKV and MP4. So if anyone else is wanting a solution check out:
HTe main one is normally behind the pvrx2 interface so i don't see it often. But I'd like another one for when I RDP into the second session on the box (I can do this without disrupting the main interface).
Will running this second gbpvrtray executable cause any issues??
At the risk of being considered lazy... if someone where to build a very small client box (say MacMini Size). What recommendations would have for case, processor, and motherboard? It has been 3 or 4 years since I built my last computer... I am assuming OEM equipment this size exists. I want it to be descent but cheap. Thanks!
I have 1.3.7 installed and just now adding my music collection to GBPVR. I have been playing with the built in Music Library and just have a few questions.
Is there anyway to build a playlist for music or import a playlist? I read in the WIKI that you should be able to change the view to an icon view but I don't see where to configure that in the config program. Keep in mind I am using the slick skin.
Does everyone else out there use the default music library or what do you suggest? I have one computer with 4 MVPs connected and most of my music is in mp3 format but I will be converting some wma files over to mp3.
Finally have the wife onboard with this and adding music is the last step.
Am running GBPVR on a client PC and noticed it is hanging. I can only use task manager to kill PVRX2 on the client and then remote to the server to restart the recording server.
Going through the logs, noticed a socket related error on the server - not sure if its related to this issue. Am attaching the log files from both the client and server.
